February 14 Should Be For Love Day Not Lust Day

I was thinking about the tricky question of whether or not Christians should be involved with February 14. My answer is that it depends. For one, it should be a love day, not Valentine's day. Just like Christmas, Christians may celebrate February 14 but without the paganism. While Halloween is satanic and should be rejected because of its immoral practices of praising the occult, but certainly one can "celebrate" Halloween by honoring the Reformation instead.

Christians should instead focus on Biblical love, not the worldly concept of love. The degenerate mind tends to misuse the word love and equate it with harmful stuff like lust. As said, lust is different from love. In fact, February 14 for me is a day to remember God's love rather than the worldly concept of love.

Want to ruin Satan's celebration of sexual immorality? Here are a few tips that can help aside from the usual evangelism:

1.) Pass around greeting cards that write down stuff about Biblical love with Gospel tracts in them.

I suggest a postcard with some verses from 1 Corinthians 13 about love's description would do the trick. Having it written there saying, "Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud, it is not self-seeking, it does not keep records of wrongs, always trusts, always hopes and always perseveres." should defeat the "love" that the world has especially you might see married men with their much younger paramours.

2.) Going to schools and passing out seminars as to why early relationships are a no-no.

It's a sad fact many schools are even encouraging teenagers towards courtship. This has led to premarital sex cases that ruin a teenager's life with teenage parenting. Teenagers must be made to understand why they should not be involved in early relationships.

3.) Holding seminars about finding the right woman/man especially for adult singles.

Although Bo Sanchez is a Roman Catholic (and I am still praying for him) - I do appreciate the fact he actually counsels men and women towards finding the right woman. Paul Washer's message on courtship should be very good for young people to take courtship seriously and not a fad, that it's a holy covenant with God and not something to be played around with. It's also a problem most men these days don't choose to be like Joseph and rather choose the sinful decisions of Samson and Solomon concerning women.

4.) Women can hold seminars against feminism and bad girls.

I am glad for the Gracious Ladies in Bible Baptist Church-Katipunan to which they teach women the right way to becoming a girl. Today it becomes hard for a Christian man to find the right woman.

5.) A rally to burn pornographic materials in a local Christian church and uploading it on Youtube.

It should certainly piss off people since porn materials are sold a lot during Valentine's so why not burn them as a protest?

Pretty much, Christians should keep fighting until the Lord Jesus comes again or calls them home!
