Felix Manalo is NOT the Good Shepherd

As the Iglesia ni Manalo celebrate their 100 years tomorrow, I would like to write this daring open letter to them. I know many will hate me for this but I love people enough to tell them the truth plain and simple from the Bible. The INC doctrine also says John 10:16 is proof of their existence, that the flock is the INC and that the Good Sheperd is Felix Manalo? Obviously the INC has always bee known for taking Scriptures out of context as much as the Roman Catholic institution. Now to examine the context of John 10:16... making Felix Manalo an antichrist.

The keyword is always CONTEXT. John 10:16 when taken in full refers to the very words of Jesus, not Felix Manalo. It was not Felix Manalo who told Peter that upon the Rock, he will build the Church. It was not Felix Manalo who came to seek and save the lost. It was not Felix Manalo who recruited the twelve disciples. In short, it was NOT Felix Manalo who did what Jesus did! It makes me think he really had some nerve (and also his son and now, his grandson Eduardo) to claim that he, Felix Manalo is the Good Shepherd of John 10! It's no wonder why the INC Council does Scriptural interpretation only, not really encouraging people to read the Bible for themselves.

With John 10 taken into context, we see Jesus Himself to be speaking as the Good Shepherd. If ignoring John 1:1-10 is already bad enough, they reject the Deity of Christ, they also reject Him as the Good Shepherd. The context is Jesus, not Felix Manalo. It was not Felix Manalo who spoke those words either. And strangely, Felix Manalo's own words to claim he is the good shepherd, his using of John 10 to say he is the Good Shepherd condemn him.

The CONTEXT of John 10 is all about Jesus you cannot insert Felix Manalo into it! Here's the proof that nobody else can be inserted but Jesus. The NIV writes of John 1:1 saying, "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God." Even the Moffatt translation (another version the INC uses to justify their existence) of John 10 says Jesus is the Good Shepherd!

One may read John 10 and compare these statements I have made here:
  • He that enters not by the door into the sheepfold but climbs some other way is a thief and a robber.
  • The Door of the sheep is Jesus Christ, not anybody else. Jesus declared Himself the Door of the Sheep, no other Door.
  • Jesus declared He, not the Church is the way to salvation. If any man enters into Him, they are saved plus one must realize this. The Church is only for saved people, not for people who desire to be saved. Sanctification follows AFTER salvation, NOT before salvation.
  • The thief comes to steal and kill and destroy... Jesus came to give life.
  • Jesus stressed again that He is the Good Shepherd, He knows His sheep and they know Him. He stressed that He is the Good Shepherd.
  • Jesus also stressed nobody else can take His life but for Himself and the Father.

If Felix Manalo were truly the Good Shepherd, why is his body STILL IN THE GRAVE? Obviously the Iglesia ni Manalo is nothing more than a HUGE HOAX.
