Atheism Has Been More Close Minded Than Christianity

Atheists are quick to accuse me of being a close-minded bigot. I would like to write a defense of my observation that Christianity has been more open-minded than atheists and that atheists have been more close-minded than atheists. I could start to tell of situations that had revealed atheists as close-minded individuals.

Christianity in itself has been more open-minded to first study something before refuting it and not just with what is written in the Scripture. 1 Thessalonians 5:21 encourages Christians to "test all things" and "hold fast to which is true" which is far more scientific than how the atheist approaches "science". A Christian is given room to investigate anything and not just merely say, "Well the Bible says..." but they are commanded to TEST ALL THINGS. Such a command was followed by Creationist scientists whether or not they were Christian.

When I think about the command "test all things" that is what science really is all about. A Christian although he or she believes Jesus is the only way has been more open-minded than the atheist in the following situations:

• Christians are willing to investigate anything evolution teaches before showing evidence against it. That is, they are willing to let the evolutionist discuss their stand first before they show their stand against it. Here are some situations I remembered:
• We were first taught what evolution taught before we were shown why it was wrong with SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE.
• We were shown why evolution was impossible based on common sense.
• We were shown the faulty sides of evolution like the use of one skull to prove evolution does not make good evidence.
• Christian leaders did not command a massacre of atheists. Any "Christian" who orders to do so is NOT a Christian at all. For example:
• The Inquisition claimed itself to be Christian but nowhere in the New Testament is it ordered to do witch hunts.
• When God ordered the destruction of civilizations, just remember these stuff were a result of divine judgment on wickedness:
• God destroyed the Earth with water for wanton wickedness.
• When God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah evidenced showed that the residents of those cities were indulged in all forms of sexual immorality and not just homosexuality. Sodomy should be used for any form of sexual immorality and homosexuality should just be used as a category.
• In Egypt, God had the punishment done because the Egyptians were a very wicked people.
• The Canaanites were a wicked bunch involved in human sacrifice and infant sacrifice.
• God did not immediately destroy a civilization. He usually gave it CENTURIES to repent until the cup of wickedness was full.
• One may consider the following things in science contributed by CREATIONISTS:
• Isaac Newton spent most of his life experimenting until he established several publications used for the study of physics.
• Francis Bacon a devoted Christian propagated the use of the scientific method.
• Blaise Pascal was famous for being a contributor in the discipline in Mathematics.

• Christians do not easily dismiss any scientific information just because the contributor is not a Christian.
• For example, Gregor Mendel and Louis Pasteur were unsaved Roman Catholics but their contributions to science were factual.
• Christians were encouraged never to reject any scientific finding because who discovers it but the truth contained in it, even if the contributor was an atheist then investigation takes place.

On the other hand, atheism has shown these signs of atheism's close-mindedness over Christianity:

• They believe that anybody who believes in God is automatically retarded, therefore they cannot be trusted with anything scientific or are not even fit enough to be scientists. For them, they are already smarter and anybody who they view as "dumber" should just be looked down throughout. Hmmm... I wonder how much science will they have left if they discover a LOT of contributors to science were Creationists even if they were not necessarily Christian?! Below are some dilemmas to face:
• Since Isaac Newton was before Darwin, then... it's time to disprove everything Newton proved.
• Since Francis Bacon was a Christian and introduced the scientific method, isn't it time to redefine the scientific method or disprove it?
• Since Louis Pasteur was a "retarded" Roman Catholic biologist, then he must be bound to papal superstitions, then shouldn't it be time to drink unpasteurized milk (today we have UHT which has corrected the flaws of the earlier process but not entirely) never mind all the bacteria that could have been contained when shipping raw milk? Raw milk can be drank safely if you are in a clean environment but transportation problems are common these days.
• If a famous doctor is a Christian, we should never get ourselves treated by a Christian doctor even when a situation is life-threatening and even when he is reputed to have been so good.
• With the Bible in mind, the following must, therefore, be rejected because they can be found in the Bible which atheists say is a "Book of Fables" and written by retarded people:
• The Earth is round (so much for calling Christians as believers of a flat Earth)
• Washing hands with running water
• Horticulture was taught to the Israelites in their agriculture
• The scientific reality of the water cycle is already taught
• Segregation of the sick from the healthy
• Sharing the ideas of creationism and evolution is not necessary. Creationism is easily disproved because it's a religious doctrine. In other words, the only thing worth talking about is evolution because it's the only alternative, Creationism is not worth discussing about why it's wrong. This also presents the following cases:
• During the Scopes monkey trial, they showed Christians were unwilling to study what evolution had to teach. However Christian education had first studied what evolution taught before disproving it with the scientific facts.
• If they do not want to study Creationism then how can it be proven wrong? To prove something wrong, you must first study it.
• Also, if they say, "Do not argue with this skull, it is evidence of evolution." I want to challenge them in proving that aside from dating methods, how sure are they the skull is proof of evolution like...
• Prove to me that the skull's origin was really a caveman from that (insert period) even if you knew NOTHING about it.
• Prove to me that the hammer beside it was a tool used by the cavemen. It could have been anybody's hammer!
• When it comes to reading the Bible or Christian literature (or any religious literature), they do not bother to compare and just take things out of context.
• However, they do not question the writings of great atheist writers.
• If they do not read the Bible in whole, how can they prove how cruel God is?
• They say Christians are for slavery but look which government does not treat slaves properly. Some facts to consider:
• Although slavery happened in the Bible but they were treated humanely. That is, God commanded every master to treat their slaves humanely. Every slave was not to go empty handed and if you wanted to keep your slave forever, give him a family.
• Exodus 21:16 prohibits any form of slave trafficking. Slavery in the Bible was usually done because of unpaid debt and the master had NO RIGHT to mistreat the slave. Also, often misquoted is Exodus 21:21 which is best interpreted as, "If the slave survives, that is if the punishment was neither inhuman nor life threatening then no punishment will happen to the master."
• In the New Testament in Philemon, Paul instructed Philemon to forgive Onesimus. The runaway slave who was now a Christian was to be received as a brother.
• What is often ignored is that atheist dictatorships have been also guilty of unfair labor practice such as:
• North Korea is never an ideal workplace.
• Mao Zedong enslaved people to death in concentration camps.
• Pol Pot was never known to be a good taskmaster.
• Atheist states force its workers to work with very little or no pay, some even go as far as twelve hours of labor.
• If they want to disprove the Bible, shouldn't they read it COVER TO COVER? Science demands before you conclude anything is wrong, you must study it properly.
• Atheist dictators such as Pol Pot, Kim Jung Il, and Mao Zedong all declared a heavy war against Christianity and another form of theistic beliefs for simply refusing to embrace state atheism. It's not any better than the Roman Catholic Inquisition and the Islamic wars which the atheist says is their reason for rejecting religion. Here are some facts:
• Roman Catholics are not Christians. If you think about it, the Inquisition was not even a work of God.
• Jesus DID NOT command His disciplines to massacre those who did not believe their message.
• In the Old Testament, when a person was stoned to death, it was the picture of the holy righteous wrath of God against sin. The Old Testament Law pictured we are all but sinners.
• If they say there is no God and no morals, what standard is there to judge God in the first place as a cruel moral monster?
• For them, you must believe the "experts" WITHOUT question nor testing all things. On the other hand, Christians are commanded to TEST ALL THINGS!
