The False Gospel Appeals to Carnal Minds!

It's really a problem that can make any Christian sick whenever there are the Easy "Christians" who seek to tailor the Gospel to carnal minds. There's no way that the Gospel was meant to be tasteful to carnal minds. Why is the Gospel so distasteful to the carnal mind? Remember there are three areas of temptation that the Gospel attacks without any hesitation.
1 John 2:16 - "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
There's no reason that the Gospel caters to all three areas of temptation. When you talk about salvation from sin and not to sin that attacks the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes. When you talk about salvation not by one's own personal merits but by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ then that attacks the pride of life. The Gospel wasn't meant to cater to sin lovers and arrogant people but to humble, repentant people …

The Lukewarm Church Hates the Commandment to Execute Righteous Judgment!

Revelation 3:14-20 says:
And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spuw thee out of My mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.
There is…

You Can't Be a Saved Person and Remain Perpetually Disobedient to Christ!

It's really stupid to believe anybody who says that they're saved and they have no signs of being saved. What's worse is that these people say that salvation is by grace so that means you can get saved and still be the same as before. That's where they're dead wrong.

I'd like to talk about what Jesus said in John 10:27-29:
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
The true mark of salvation is obedience. Hebrews 5:9 says:
And being made perfect, He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him;
If you noticed the tenses, it's plain and simple to understand that salvation is finished and accomplished. The present tense is those that obey Him. Do you obey to stay saved? No, you obey because you…

Stop Blaming Satan For Your Sins!

Do you remember the situation in the Garden of Eden? Genesis 3:12-13 show us how people just love blaming each other for the sins they themselves are responsible for. Adam knew better than to let his wife eat the fruit God forbade. Eve knew better than to listen to Satan. Eve tried to blame Satan for what happened but God didn't excuse them even for a nanosecond! No, God didn't accept their excuse and they were thrown out of Eden.

Even after Eden, it's very easy to blame Satan for your sins and wrong decisions. I don't dare to deny that Satan did enter into Judas Iscariot (Luke 22:3). Satan may have influenced Cain to kill Abel. Satan may have influenced the Pharaoh. But while Satan does influence certain people to sin, certain evils were also happening at the same time. While Satan is indeed powerful but he lacks omniscience, omnipotence and omnipresence because he's a fallen angel. Remember, Satan is not as powerful as God. If there's anything to blame for y…

Sin's Wages Aren't Always Paid Immediately

There's a quote that says that sin wouldn't be so attractive if the wages were paid immediately. While some sins do result in direct punishment but others don't. The consequences of playing with a knife are obvious but the consequences of other sins like extramarital affairs and drunken behavior don't necessarily show up immediately. In a world where political correctness is becoming more and more acceptable over biblical correctness, sin has become more and more encouraged. After homosexual marriages were made legal in some parts of the world, the fight to defend any immoral relationship in the name of "love" has become more and more mainstream.

The whole wrong idea about right and wrong in the world has a very limited view due to man's fallen nature. They think that as long as you don't suffer or everyone agrees with you then you haven't done anything wrong. There's the tendency to think that as long as you do what's right then you don&…

Being an Atheist DOES NOT Make You More Scientific!

Atheists like Richard Dawkins keep claiming that to be truly scientific, one must become an atheist. To become truly free then one must become an atheist. The idea of a God ruling the Universe for them is repressive and dictatorial. They think that believing in God is disruptive to scientific progress and that they alone possess the keys to progress. But let's take a moment to think about what we can see through science.

Science shows us that there's nothing that was ever conceived by mere accident. Do you think it's just an accident that everything in science is so fantastically complex you need to have separate branches of science to study it? We have natural science, formal science, social science and applied science. Then under each science, there are still several branches of study. In natural science we have biology, chemistry, physics and astronomy and yet that doesn't cover anything. In the fields of science, there are several specialties. No one can truly and…

By False Peace Many Will Be Destroyed

We have the problem of unsaved people who want peace but only peace according to their own definition. They want peace but reject the Prince of Peace. Since they reject the Prince of Peace, it would be very easy for Satan to step in. Here's what the Bible says about false peace:
Jeremiah 6:14 - "They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace." Jeremiah 8:11 - "For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace." Daniel 8:25 - "And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand."
The whole problem of false peace is that it rejects God and embraces man. They may claim they're doing God a favor but they aren't. They can go ahead and …

The Jews Still Need to Receive the Lord Jesus Christ or Perish!

There's no doubt Christians are called to love the Jewish people. There's always a consequence with anybody who tries to double-cross Israel or to go against God's covenant wit Israel. God is not yet done with Israel and he still protects it. The reason why Israel stands today is because of God's intervention to show that He's still in charge. Anything that happens to anyone right now has God in control. He has reasons for allowing things to happen.

Let's think about this truth that Christians are called to love Jews (or just anyone) enough to tell them the truth about salvation is by faith alone in Jesus Christ. The idea that Jews don't need Jesus is really unbiblical. If they didn't need Jesus then the whole earthly ministry of Jesus wouldn't make sense. Jesus already said it in John 3:3 that you must be born again. Jesus warned a lot of Jews that they belonged to the Devil (John 8:44). A lot of Jews continued in their unbelief and have paid for i…

Know the Difference Between Death Penalty and Revenge

Some Christians who are against death penalty have a wrong interpretation of these verses as found in Matthew 5:38-39: Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
Now do they understand what eye for eye means? The problem is that they don't. It's easy to be mistaken that God authorized people to have their personal revenge in the Old Testament. That's not the case. If He did, He wouldn't have mentioned in Deuteronomy 32:35 saying:
To me belongeth vengeance and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.
The same God who said eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth didn't authorize revenge while allowing people to press charges if they were ever harmed. Deuteronomy 19 also shows civil laws and the end verses sho…

A Non-Soulwinning Church Is a DEAD CHURCH!

It's a shame if a church calls itself a Christian church but it's not soulwinning. It's a problem when there's no soulwinning. The problem itself isn't Calvinism but Hyper-Calvinism. Some of the best evangelists in the past were Calvinists like Jonathan Edwards and Charles H. Spurgeon. They believed in the doctrine of election and went out soulwinning in hopes of helping find the elect. But the problem is when a church doesn't do soulwinning. That church isn't necessary hyper-Calvinist but it can just be an ordinary dead church.

Why they should be called dead churches is because they have no concern for lost souls. It's stupid to have a church and not do any soulwinning. The great commission was already in Matthew 28:18-20 saying:
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching t…

Theological Warning: Easy-Gesis or Out of Context Preaching Is Super Dangerous!

Got Questions defines eisegesis from the article "What is the difference between exegesis and eisegesis" as:
The opposite approach to Scripture is eisegesis, which is the interpretation of a passage based on a subjective, non-analytical reading. The word eisegesis literally means "to lead into," which means the interpreter injects his own ideas into the text, making it mean whatever he wants.
Why is eisegesis or out of context preaching really more used? Most people today are just too lazy. The preacher is really that lazy to study the Bible for himself. It's always easier to take Scriptures out of their context than understanding them in context. But just like easy believism, it really gives disastrous results. If easy believism shelters false converts then it also advocates eisegesis preaching. 2 Peter 3:16 warns of people who twist around the Word of God. That's what eisegesis does to the presentation of God's Word. It's also appropriate to spel…

God Blesses His Elect by Giving Them Trials to Endure

It's true God blesses but He doesn't give Christians the promise of happy, wealthy and happy lives. That's just the garbage of the prosperity "gospel" movement. Do you want to know how God blesses Christians?

Let's read the Bible on a few verses about blessings:
Matthew 5:11-12 says, "Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you." Romans 8:26-28 says, "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good …

It's Not Enough to Learn From Your Pastor, You Must Also Study the Scriptures Yourself!

While the office of the pastor can't be denied just like we can't deny the need for teachers in school but there's the responsibility to study for yourself. It's not enough for a student to just sit down and listen to the teacher and take down notes. Instead, students must also study the notes and the lessons for themselves to drink from that fountain of knowledge. Likewise, churchgoers can't just be Sunday Bible readers and students but they must also seek to study Scriptures for themselves.

The Christian life is not just on Sundays. Instead, it goes on everyday. A person shouldn't be satisfied with just a Sunday morning service, a Sunday evening service and a Wednesday service. While these are necessary to give Christians what they need to know but they must still study the Bible for themselves. Any pastor who tells his flock that they shouldn't study the Bible for themselves may be a cult leader. Any pastor who encourages his flock to study the Bible fo…

Every Pastor Needs These Two Voices

The word pastor means "shepherd". Jeremiah 3:15 says that God promises pastors after His own heart - pastors that will feed His flock with the right doctrine. The pastor is given the task to gather the sheep. 1 Timothy 3:1-7 says: This is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; one that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?), not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
It's not enough that a pastor should be a…

Pseudo-Christian Denominations Reject God's Word to Keep Their Own Traditions!

Jesus warned the Pharisees in Mark 7:9, "And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition." The Pharisees created their own system which was full of extrabiblical practices that went against the Word of God. They have perverted the Law into a license to be a tyrant towards their own people. Although they appeared to be men of God but in reality, they were nothing more than religious oppressors who were leading people to Hell instead of Heaven.

Today's most well-known Pharisees are the Roman Catholic priests. It's very easy for Roman Catholics to call born again Christians as Pharisees never mind their priests fit the description given in Matthew 23. Matthew 23 has Jesus rightfully accusing the Pharisees of their self-righteous behavior, hypocrisy, wearing long flowing robes as a sign of status, they love the greetings in the market places and they love to be called father in the spiritual sense. Today, every Roma…

The Stupidity of Decriminalizing Perjury and People Complaining Why Innocent People Are Getting Punished

People today say that the death penalty will indeed end up executing innocent people. Death penalty may end up killing the wrong people but there's a cause to it. Here's a useful Bible passage that should help clear up the matter:
Deuteronomy 19:18-19 - "And the judges shall make diligent inquisition: and, behold, if the witness be a false witness, and hath testified falsely against his brother; then shall ye do unto him, as he had thought to have done unto his brother: so shalt thou put the evil away from among you."
The Bible calls for perjury to be a criminal offense not a civil offense. It's really foolish to how people say that punishing and criminalizing perjury is harsh then they're complaining that innocent people may be executed anytime soon. If you want to greatly reduce the chances of innocent people in the death row then perjury must be punished with what the false accuser intended to do with the falsely accused. That's why there's the rig…

Three Subtle Ways Satan Distorts the Presentation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

The Gospel can't be destroyed because it's the truth of the Word of God. If Satan can't destroy the Gospel, there are other ways he can make sure people don't get hold of it. According to the Anglican preacher J.C. Ryle, these are by addition, subtraction or substitution to present a wrong picture of the Gospel. When you get the Gospel wrong then you're pretty much wrong on everything.

I. ) Adding something to the Gospel

The declaration of the Bible is that salvation is by faith alone. Satan can deceitfully work against that truth by adding works, sacraments or extra mediators to the Gospel. Here are a few examples one can observe:

Conditional security requires that every saved person must do good works to stay saved rather than declare that good works is the inevitable result of being saved. The Roman Catholic system adds Mary the mother of Jesus as a co-Mediator with Jesus that all must pass through her first before they can enter Jesus. It has woefully misquoted …
