No to New Year's Resolutions, Yes to Daily Resolutions!

It's already New Year's Eve and Christmas and Lenten Season aren't the only most hypocritical times of the year. The other problem is with the New Year's Resolution. It somewhat implies you need to wait for the new year to make a resolutions that are soon meant to be broken. What does the Bible say about resolutions? Here's what it says:
Romans 12:1-2 - "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
This is not a yearly thing but a daily thing. Christians are commanded to renew their minds not on a yearly basis but on a daily basis. Sanctification is a daily process or better said an hourly process or even by the minute or by the second the Christian is subject to it. Th…

The Possibility That the Doctrine of Reincarnation Seeks to Justify the Sin of Homosexuality

Homosexuality is indeed another controversial topic. The doctrine of reincarnation teaches that people can take several forms from animals to different forms as humans. This may even teach that a certain someone used to be of the opposite sex.

Here's an interesting excerpt from a New Age article called "Homosexuality and Past Lives": Other views or interpretations for homosexuality within a past life context but ones that I do not feel are particularly probable is firstly that confusion can occur when a soul changes over from a life as a member of one sex to that of the other. Souls reincarnate not only into different cultures and periods, but also as both men and women, during their many lives. The reincarnating soul could bring with it many of the former characteristics from past personalities and, when these are very strong; they could easily overshadow the new personality.  The sex change may be further complicated if, in the former life, the person had been very act…

Santa Claus Theology is Self-Righteousness!

One good reason why lying about Santa Claus is just wrong is because Santa Claus theology centers on works salvation. Santa Claus theology means you get into Heaven if you're good enough. The song "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" teaches us that be good for goodness sake. That's not real goodness but dirty rags. The message that's shared all year round and not just Christmas is, "It's because we've been bad not good so by Christ's blood by sins did take." That's very different from what Santa Claus theology has to offer.

Many children fooled into believing Santa Claus is real think that they're good enough. It's because they get their presents and they think that Santa Claus and not their parents left the gift. To the child, Santa Claus is very real. That's where most parents are very wrong to think that it's just a white lie. No, it's not a white lie and parents lying about Santa Claus lose their credibility when the…

Christmas Reflection: Christ Left His Glory Above For Our Sakes!

2 Corinthians 8:9 - "For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that ye through His poverty might be rich."

It's very easy to have a materialistic view of Christmas. It's because Christmas has been linked to paganism or has had some pagan influence. While Jeremiah 10:3-5 is certainly not about Christmas trees but December 25 is not the birthday of Jesus. Yet there's nothing wrong with celebrating the incarnation of Christ as long as the Gospel is preached all year round. But the problem is that people have a materialistic view of Christmas. Ask them what they are excited about for Christmas and you may hear stuff like the children want their toys, people want their bonuses and businessmen can't wait for the huge sales that will come pouring in. Nothing's wrong with getting toys, bonuses and huge sales but the problem is forgetting Who owns everything we have. We forget Who gave His life fo…

The Incredible Irony That Many People Want a Perfect Leader But Reject the Lord Jesus Christ!

People tend to wish for a perfect parent, a perfect child or right now people tend to wish for a perfect leader. It's only normal for people in a screwed up world to wish for a perfect leader to help solve all their problems. The irony is that many people who want the perfect leader reject the perfect leader namely the Lord Jesus Christ.

The situation is no different from the unbelieving Jews who expected the Messiah. Remember the Jews who were eager for the Messiah to arrive? They wanted the Messiah to supposedly liberate them from the Roman Rule and establish the Kingdom. For years, they wanted the Romans to be gotten rid of and the Kingdom of David established. The time came when Jesus was proclaimed by John the Baptist as the Lamb of God. People thought He would liberate them from Roman Rule. Instead, Jesus didn't feed on their hate but told them a lot of stuff that would crush their pride such as forgiving and loving one's enemies. Worse, He showed the people that the…

This Christmas, NEVER Forget to Keep Studying the Bible!

Even if Christians who celebrate Christmas don't lie about Santa Claus, they don't have a worldly view of Christmas but there's always one problem that the flesh can be easily distracted from studying the Word of God. Even if the churches or work places aren't celebrating Christmas in a worldly way by getting drunk or disturbing the neighbors with loud music but one can be distracted by all the food and gatherings that don't happen often. It's not that Christians who celebrate Christmas only do good on Christmas but anyone who's still growing in the faith may forget to study the Bible because of all the delicious food or exchanging gifts. Even if there's nothing worldly with exchanging gifts (the Jews did also during the Feast of Purim to celebrate their victory over the devilish decree of Haman) but it's so easy to get distracted from the greatest Gift of All for mankind: the Lord Jesus Christ.

This Christmas could be viewed as an opportunity to d…

Christmas is Another Opportunity to Ram the Sword of Truth Down Satan's Throat!

The Christmas season is a season for lies to spread like wildfire. You have the song "It's the Most Wonderful Day of the Year" playing on radio. People are given a worldly view of Christmas. You have parents lying to their children about Santa Claus. But here's one comfort for the Christian: Christmas is an opportunity to ram the Sword of Truth down Satan's throat! Take note that this is a figure of speech as the real enemy is spirit and that people are misled by Satan's lies. They're victims of false teachings who must be told the truth no matter how hard it is.

Spreading the Gospel telling them about the Gospel will piss Satan off all year round. This is not about a watered down presentation of the Gospel but the whole ugly truth that the Incarnation of Christ as a virgin-born child is because man isn't basically good. That's the ugly truth that most people don't want to hear that Jesus became God the flesh because man isn't basically g…

The Incredible Irony That Many Lost People Love Christmas But Not Christ!

It's just ten days before Christmas isn't it? Unfortunately, there's no real reason to ever make it a mandatory observance and Christians being hostile towards it is no surprise. I don't even blame Christians who hate Christmas for very valid reasons. Any Christian who loves Jesus may be someone who who is sick and tired of the worldliness of Christmas. Any frustrated Christian who hates Christmas has every right not to observe it but should be careful not to become a stumbling block towards other Christians who don't observe the holiday in a worldly way. It's time to talk about this issue that many lost people love Christmas but not Jesus.

It's easily observable how Christmas is a worldly occasion. Sometimes, it's better to call it Xmas because they're not celebrating Christ. Instead, they're celebrating anything but Christ. When some unsaved people are asked about why they're excited about Christmas there could be a link to materialistic r…

Don't Let Politically Correct Anti-Christian Governments Take Your Bibles and Self-Defense Weapons From You!

It's really stupid how people blame necessary dangerous objects like knives, hammers and guns for the murder over the person who misused them. It's stupid to even say that the Bible forbids self-defense. Remember, Jesus approved of self-defense. Here's what He said:
Luke 22:36-38- "Then said He unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one. For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end. And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And He said unto them, It is enough."
Godless governments hate it when they can't bully people so they target two stuff: the right to self-defense when one's life is in danger and the right to read the Bible. It's amazing how people today hate the idea of death penalty to defend the state or say one mus…

The Difference Between Christian Good Works and Dead Works!

The quote above by D. Martin Lloyd-Jones really speaks the truth. Considering it's Christmas season one can see the difference between a Christmas tree where decorations are just hanged and a living tree that bear fruit makes a difference. Any apologist of false religion may ask a Christian apologist, "What about the atheist who does good works? He's certainly not saved, isn't he?" That's a good question then.

Hebrews 10:14 states, "How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?" Every "good" work done by the unbeliever is good as dead. Isaiah 64:6 says, "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away." The righteousness of the unsaved is something that we realize is filthy and unaccepta…

No, Grace is Not an Excuse to Keep Living in Sin!

It's really sickening how the doctrine of cheap grace has entered the church. Grace is free but it's not cheap. I guess it's time to rename those Antinomians who say they teach free grace theology as teachers of cheap grace theology. This grace diminishes the very reason why our Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross in the first place. The death on the cross was not only to pay for the penalty of sins but to also liberate people from sins. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says that the penalty was paid by the one who knew no sin. Hebrews 9:14 says that the blood of Christ was set to redeem people from their dead works to serving the living and true God.

Many can go ahead and say that they're under grace so they can sin all they want. That kind of teaching isn't biblical. Jude 1:4 warns of people who teach that God's grace is a license to sin. Titus 2:11-14 says that God's grace teaches that its beneficiaries would be taught to deny ungodliness and live soberly and righteo…

Remember Christ Became Man So Man Can Be Born Again!

Some Christians may be getting mad with all the worldly happenings this December yet one can still take Christmas as a time for revival. This also involves remembering the incarnation of Christ from God the Son to becoming Immanuel or God with us. God the Father willed it so much that the Son should be born of the virgin Mary as to fulfill Genesis 3:15 and Isaiah 7:14 about the virgin birth. Everything was planned ahead by God the Father to redeem mankind from sins (Matthew 1:21). The very birth of Christ into the human world was so He can fulfill the Law because sinful humanity couldn't fulfill it according to God's perfect standards.

What may have been forgotten was that Christ was born of a virgin so Christians can be spiritually born again or as the Greek says "born from above". Nobody is ever born again by what they do or by infant baptism or participating in baptism. The act of being born again is a supernatural work of God. The whole message of being born again…

How a Pseudo-Calvinist Prosperity Gospel Preacher May Sound Like

Here's a funny picture of Joel Osteen turned into "Joel Calvinsteen" which is too funny and too good not to share. At the same time, the whole idea of the prosperity gospel meets nothing with the Bible. In fact, John 15:18-19 warns those who have been chosen of God to beware of persecution and prepare for the worst. Sorry Joel Osteen you're definitely not a born again pastor but just another idiot who preaches a feel good message that's sending people to Hell!

Some Christians are Hostile Towards Christmas

Perhaps one of the biggest debate among saved people is about Christmas. If division was already a reality when Paul wrote to the Corinthians, it's still a real issue today. I wouldn't even dare deny that my favorite Baptist preacher Charles H. Spurgeon called Christmas as a pagan occasion. Some Christians still celebrate Christmas in their own way may get unjust but well-intended criticism from Christians who don't celebrate Christmas.

Here's what the great Spurgeon said:
"WE HAVE NO superstitious regard for times and seasons. Certainly we do not believe in the present ecclesiastical arrangement called Christmas: first, because we do not believe in the mass at all, but abhor it, whether it be said or sung in Latin or in English; and, secondly, because we find no Scriptural warrant whatever for observing any day as the birthday of the Saviour; and, consequently, its observance is a superstition, because not of divine authority. Superstition has fixed most positive…

The Militant Atheist's Use of Strawman Arguments

While some atheists are actually open-minded to a certain extent to still agree with Christian scientists' position on science (even if they refuse to believe in a God or acknowledge that Christian scientists did contribute to science) but others are just plain close-minded. The militant atheist says that you can't be a Christian and a scientist at the same time. If they can't refute the correct arguments of any creationist whether they be Christians or not so they resolve to using a strawman.

The use of a strawman means they misrepresent the opponent's stand to a weaker position then claim that they've supposedly refuted it. It's a very common tactic used to make one look like he or she won an argument when it was just a dirty tactic. They start making up lies about creationists like that the believe in a flat Earth, that they don't believe in science or whatever to make sure that only they militant atheists have the first and last say of what science is.…

Women Should Feel Safer Not Going to Target!

Target's giving in to political correctness has violated women's rights to privacy. It should be very stupid if a company decides to compromise on safety for the sake of complying with being politically correct. Any woman with the right mind should not go to Target for shopping for their own personal safety. Allowing men in women's comfort rooms except for the reason that the men's comfort room is out of order may soon invite perverts. A male homosexual may actually enjoy perverted pursuits with both genders as a bisexual. It may also invite other non-homosexual perverts the chance to molest women when they least expect it.
It's crazy how politically correctness only leads to confusion. It supports the idiocy of the feminist movement but fails to see women's rights as it should be seen. Women have the right to be protected from any form of abuse. Women have the right to say no to sexual advances when it's from someone not their husband or to say no when t…

This Christmas Season, Remember Christ Was Born to Die For Your Sins!

Every Christmas, it's very easy to think of the worldly aspects of it. It's no wonder why some Christians even don't want to celebrate it. I can't blame the Puritans for actually condemning it. Charles H. Spurgeon was among the many Baptist preachers to condemn Christmas. But there are other Christians who still celebrate Christmas. While Halloween can never play a part with Christianity because it celebrates the occult but Christmas was meant to celebrate the Incarnation of Christ. But again, remember that Jesus wasn't born on December 25.

Matthew 1:21 says that Jesus was born to save His people from their sins. The only way He could do it was to die on the cross as the perfect sacrifice. He would be beaten to the point of becoming a bloody pulp. He was stripped off everything and was in the worst shape possible so imputed righteousness and power against sin can be given to whoever believes. It's very easy to remember Christ's birth during the Christmas b…
