It's Tragic That Many People Who Are in Hell Right Now Have Been Witnessed To So Many Times

It's really one tragic truth that the Bible tells about Hell. The worse thing is how many people in Hell today have been warned about Hell before they died? I would believe plenty of them have heard the Gospel but they are in Hell. Plenty of them have been witnessed to but they have laughed it off. They thought that they were good enough. There are others chose to think they were too smart and enlightened to believe in Hell. One reason why I believe many people who are now in Hell have been witnessed to many times is that I have dead relatives who I assume are in Hell now have heard of the Gospel even before I was born. Think about how awful that must be to think that they were told about the Gospel and they are in Hell right now.

Why do I believe many people who are in Hell now have been witnessed to so many times? It's all linked to this truth that the Gospel is being preached across the world. One of the signs before the Rapture is the preaching of the Gospel at a worldwide scale (Matthew 24:14). How often do we have Gospel tracts, door to door soulwinning, how often the Gospel is preached in this day and age is happening at jet-age speed? It happens a lot as missions are reaching many people from the local neighborhood to other countries. The apostles were already establishing missionary centers even before today's evangelism. The Gospel is being preached as part of the great prophecy. You can't deny that some pastors even believe that there may no longer be 50 years or time is so short because the Gospel is spread like there.

There's one ugly truth that evangelism accompanies. So few believe and so many reject it. While warning the unsaved absolves the responsibility on the part of the Christian but you can't deny how there will be people who will die in their sins. Matthew 7:13-14 makes it clear how many people fall into the depths f destruction and how so few get saved into life. While the majority can be right or wrong but it's never a game of numbers. Instead, the truth remains as truth whether all believe it or none believe it. The truth will always remain the same because the truth is unchanging. You can evangelize all you want but not everyone will believe. Others will laugh it off until it's too late.

This is how I picture Hell. I doubt it there will be any repentance or change of mind in Hell. I doubt it that they would believe even if given a second chance. They are so dead in their sins that they would probably still hate God and think He's wrong and they're right. Here's what Got Questions has to say about the matter which I think will be the truth about so many people in Hell:
What about those who do not believe? Wouldn’t they repent and believe if they were given a second chance? The answer is no, they would not because their hearts are not changed simply because they die. Their hearts and minds “are at enmity” against God and won’t accept Him even when they see Him face to face. This is evidenced clearly in the story of the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16:19-31. If ever someone should have repented when given a second chance to see clearly the truth, it was the rich man. But although he was in torment in hell, he only asked that Abraham send Lazarus back to earth to warn his brothers so they didn’t have to suffer the same fate. There was no repentance in his heart, only regret for where he found himself. Abraham’s answer says it all: “And he said to him, If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded, even though one rose from the dead” (Luke 16:31). Here we see that the witness of the Scriptures is sufficient for salvation for those who believe it, and no other revelation will bring about salvation to those who do not. No second, third or fourth chances would be enough to turn the heart of stone into a heart of flesh.

I think about all the obituaries I read and so many prayers for the dead even for decades. Somebody was dead for 90 years yet the same prayers still keep going for that person's eternal repose. Somebody died during the 1940s and yet that person's soul is still being offered masses for eternal repose. I even remembered the thought that maybe some of them are probably still hoping their false religion will save them from Hell or will still curse God for not accepting their way of salvation. There was no repentance on the rich man who went to Hell. He only asked for a drop of water and he showed more regret and no repentance. The natural man dies in their sins and I think they will still curse God as they're dropped into Hell believing that He's unfair or that they insist in making it their way. Some are probably still making the sign of the cross in Hell, reciting Hail Marys or thinking of making it out their way when there's no escape. This heart is forever hardened against God so repentance is really 100% impossible.
