Satan Offers You Your Best Life Now

Image
I remembered when I was newly saved and I remembered how I used to watch Joel Osteen and other prosperity preachers on TV. One of the biggest lies that they have propagated is that God wants you best life now. The more I studied the Scripture the more I turned off the TV, the more I didn't want to watch the Trinity Broadcasting Network because of all the prosperity gospel garbage that they were giving. It was obvious that Satan really is one subtle being. No, he won't appear to you how he appears in this entry but as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14). Your best life now? I always felt that it's not from God but it's a lie straight from the pits of Hell. Jesus never offered anyone their best life now. Consider what was left behind. Matthew left the glamorous life of a publican. Peter and Andrew had to give up their livelihood as fishermen to be pastors. Becoming a Christian means you can lose everything... even your very own life! But Satan would want to tell y

It's Go and Sin No More, Not Go and Sin Some More

It's sickening at how some preachers today preach the damnable heresy of changeless Christianity. Changeless Christianity teaches that you can get saved and remain the same. I have read the Bible cover to cover several times and I don't read even one verse that says you can get saved and stay the way they are. I've read Romans 4:5 but that's not the entire message. True it says to him that worketh not but did they read the last part? It says God counts said person to righteousness. Counted to righteousness! What a wonderful truth about it that even a changed lifestyle is by God's grace! One could go back to the story of Jesus and the woman caught in adultery. John 8:1-11 shows us several lessons. If one lesson has that you have no right to take the Law into your hands (and that's what the Pharisees were doing in this situation) then the other is about, "Go and sin no more." Although sinless perfection is impossible in this life yet we know that this

Some Roman Catholic Fanatics Deny to Death That the Late Billy Graham Was an Ally of the Vatican

Image
It's a sad thing to think of Billy Graham's death. I really stopped supporting him years ago because of his unequal yoke with Rome. Now, I also remembered a couple of debates turning ugly I had with self-appointed Roman Catholic apologists. I ran across a Facebook page called "Buang Again" (and buang means crazy or insane in English) where they made some of the most absurd claims. Aside from lying that the born again Christian worship service is a Sunday concert - they even lied that the late Graham is the supposed founder of Born Again Christianity. This puts them in a major pickle for several reasons. I remembered watching a documentary on John Paul II from a Catholic point of view. The same video said that it did shock some people that John Paul II called Graham as the former's brother in Christ. Graham even called Pope John Paul II as the unquestionably most influential voice of morality. This would put Roman Catholic fanatics in a pickle unless they conve

Answering Self-Appointed Lady Catechist's Ridiculous Claim That Bible Alone and Faith Alone Leads to Evil

Image
I just read across the ridiculous posts by a certain amateur or self-proclaimed Catholic faith defender  lady (I'll probably call her Self-Appointed Lady Catechist to avoid getting personal or shaming her in public) where they say that the doctrine Bible alone and faith alone leads to evil. It made me think that the person is obviously using the wrong samples and that she's woefully ignorant. Let us just take a look at this poor sampling she did. She should be grateful that I am not shaming her openly. Rather, I am criticizing her mistakes for the sake of her eternal soul. She's using the picture of a depraved "Baptist" church that has a female minister (as if the Roman Catholic institution doesn't have nuns) performing a lesbian marriage. I don't deny that there are fake Baptist churches and there are fake pastors here and there. But here's what I should address first and foremost - that Baptist church is evil not because it's Bible alone but

It May Be Better to Call Ash Wednesday as Ahab's Wednesday

It's no doubt that Ash Wednesday is today and it falls on the same day as Valentine's Day. There's something think about how two hypocritical times of the year fall on the same date this 2018. Is it another sign of the times? Most likely as the world isn't getting any better at all. It would be time to talk about the hypocrisy of Ash Wednesday and why it might be better to call it "Ahab's Wednesday". We can find in Scripture the use of sackcloth and ashes as a sign of mourning and repentance. Some of the great heroes of the Old Testament used it such as Tamar (2 Samuel 13:19), Mordecai (Esther 4:1), Job (Job 2:8) and Daniel (Daniel 9:3). Tamar threw ashes in mourning after her paternal half-brother Amnon raped her out of lust. Mordecai was in mourning because of Haman's decree. But do you know it can also be just for show? One such example is Ahab the most wicked king of the Northern Kingdom of Israel. For there was none like unto him from the kings

Christians, Please Pray For Your Pastor

Image
I remembered browsing a few of the self-proclaimed Catholic apologist posts and found an interesting note that they are requesting people to pray for their priests. This has struck me that if unsaved people can pray for their religious leaders not to fail then why are there times Christians fail to pray for their pastor? God promised in Jeremiah 3:15 that He will provide pastors (or shepherds) that will feed the people with understanding. In the New Testament, the office of the Old Testament priesthood is over and the office of pastoring is open. Ephesians 4:11-12 says, "And He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:" What a tremendous responsibility it is to be a pastor! This brings me back to the time when Jesus and Peter had a rather close relationship. Matthew 16:16-18 mentions the incident where Peter is told

An Amateur or Self-Proclaimed Roman Catholic Apologist's Dilemma with the Terms "Born Again" and "Born from Above"

It can be noticed at how some amateur or self-proclaimed Roman Catholic apologists even go as far as to appeal to the Greek (whenever it's convenient) to say that, "There's no born again in the Bible. The Greek actually says born from above." This is pretty confusing and not to mention hypocritical considering that they can't even tell the difference between Peter (Petros, small rock) and Petra (the huge Rock in Matthew 16:18. It's agreeable between Roman Catholics and Protestants that the Greek says "to be born from above" yet as language evolves the term born again has been acceptable. This would be the dilemma of any amateur or self-proclaimed Roman Catholic faith defender (assuming they try to refute the term born again with the Greek) because Roman Catholic translations of the Bible also use the word "born again". These self-proclaimed Roman Catholic apologists are way more ill-equipped compared to the formally trained ones. If the

Christians Should Never Get Romantically Involved with Non-Christians

Being a friend to an unbeliever is one while getting into a romantic relationship with one is another. I remembered Pastor Robert Kent Jesalva said, "Never marry an unbeliever, you don't do God's Law by breaking God's Law!" This is the highlight of the Bible that no Christian should even consider dating a non-Christian and much more even marry one. Since it's February then it's time to warn Christians about never getting into a romantic relationship with an unbeliever. The problem of interfaith marriage Genesis 6:2 warns of the intermarriage between the Sethites and the Cainites. No, these sons of God aren't angels. We are not dealing with pagan mythology but biblical theology. There are no such things as demigods or half-angels because humans can't reproduce with spirit beings. Instead, this is talking about how the male descendants of Seth (the saved) had illicit relationships with the female descendants of Cain (the unsaved). The mistake w
