Not Becoming Like the World in Order to Reach the World for Christ

I remembered reading the book "Hard to Believe" by John F. MacArthur where it presents the hard truths about the Gospel. Why is the Gospel unpopular? Just reading Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 reveal hard truths that can't be easily swallowed. The idea that the sinless Son of God our Lord Jesus Christ would die for man's sins by crucifixion is repugnant for both Jews and Gentiles. The very word "cross" from what I heard was even a taboo word. People who were crucified were considered to be the lowest of the low. The idea that an innocent man how much more the sinless Son of God would allow Himself to be crucified was a baffling idea. The very idea that He died because mankind isn't basically good is even worse. The very message of Christ on the cross and conquering it because you're a lost sinner is abhorrent. It's because people tend to believe that they're basically good or that they're good for Heaven. The Bible as the Book of the Law crush...

Jesus Didn't Die and Rise From the Dead So You Can Sin All You Want

As the Lenten season came to a close today - I'm afraid that many people today will go back to their worldly living. I remembered the cycle that says you sin from Monday to Friday, go to confession on a Saturday, attend Mass on Sunday and the cycle goes on and on. It's no wonder why Matthew 7:21-23 exposes the true nature of false converts as workers of wickedness. A believer in Jesus Christ may not be perfect, they will struggle with sin but they will never enjoy sin for long because they aren't unsaved. Hebrews 12:5-7 says that God will chastise those He loves. There's a true saying that says, "Only false converts are unsaved enough to think that they have a license to sin. True converts don't want to live the same life anymore!" Yet, you have some people have the awful sin cycles of being all "righteous" during Christmas and the Lenten season but when Christmas ends and Easter Sunday arrives - they go back to their sinful lifestyles! This is...

The Sad Truth About Dr. Jack Frasure Hyles and the Hylestic Baptist Movement

Today is the death anniversary of Dr. Jack Hyles and I remembered how I used to adore the man, I used to read Jesus-is-Savior (until said site started to make me doubt my salvation because I always believed in repentance of sins for salvation and receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior) yet it turns out that this guy is actually a sexual reprobate. I remembered I wanted to get someone to find evidence to defend Hyles from what some may call to be a "Jesuit conspiracy" to discredit him and the Baptist movement yet the evidence is quite overwhelming on how we have fake Baptist churches around! They may not be necessarily Jesuit creations but they are still dangerous doors to Hell nonetheless! So what's the whole truth about the late Hyles and his movement? While I do appreciate some of his writings about sin in American society - yet he also introduced the dangerous doctrine of easy believism. It would be a very dangerous thing where he teaches the following heresies: R...

A Deadly Contagious Plague of Easy Believist Baptist Churches

Image
It never stops to bother me up to no end that sometimes the biggest problem in the Baptist churches are Baptists themselves. As preposterous as it sounds but it's true. There's the recent plague of easy believism. I thought of how often salvation ends up like this, "Just pray a prayer and you're saved." It's no wonder why the late Dr. Leonard Ravenhill announced that the sinner's prayer has sent more people into Hell than the bars of America. It's because many people have become false converts. Now, I don't deny some people have said the sinner's prayer or were converted from a sinner's prayer evangelism. However, it's not because of the sinner's prayer evangelism but it's because the pastor preaches hard truths and would confront false converts about the possibility of false conversion. I was just reminded of some person I ran into years ago. He claimed he was a Baptist and seems to act like he's some kind of "Jesu...

Revelation 3:20 Doesn't Support Easy Prayerism

I remembered that some people did get saved after they said the sinner's prayer. As Paul David Washer would say it, he would say it as, "Some of you here are saved not because of it but in spite of it." If there's any reason why some sinner's prayer evangelism managed to succeed is because of the following reasons: The pastor is not wishy-washy in his preaching. He promotes repentance of sins as part of salvation. He convicts sin which people go to the altar call and pray their own sinner's prayer (or seldom repeat after me) where they put their trust in the Savior and not in the prayer. If said "converts" are not living according to the Christian life, the pastor confronts them not by saying, "Look you're a Christian and you shouldn't be doing that!" Instead, he says something like, "If you think you have a license to sin after you're saved then you're a fake convert. True converts don't want to live life the sa...

The Modern Gospel is One Gospel Which is Not Another

Image
If salvation by works is leading people to Hell then so is an incomplete presentation of the Gospel. Many people today think that they're really once saved, always saved but do they even know that true salvation is to be saved from sin? The doctrine of eternal security has been twisted to look like a license to sin whenever you have people who say you can get saved and sin all you want. Let's take time to examine the dangerous modern gospel. This phenomenon of "Easy Christianity" is one of the many reasons why so many fake converts exist today. What's causing the phenomenon that many people think they're once saved always saved but they were never saved? It's all thanks to a group of fake preachers who preach a the modern gospel which is not another. Many preachers today only care about numbers but never about whether or not these people are truly converted. While some people have had genuine conversions from a sinner's prayer evangelism it was becau...

Good Friday Reminder: Jesus' Death Is to Liberate You from Your Sin Not to Liberate You to Sin

It's Good Friday isn't it? The Lenten season is one of the most hypocritical times of the year and Good Friday may be the most hypocritical part of Lent. Many pretend to go into sorrow during Good Friday to "commemorate" Jesus' death but when Easter Sunday comes, it would be just one day ahead before many people go back to living like the rest of the world.  Hebrews 2:14  Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; Hebrews 9:14  How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? One of the worst teachings that people can have is to belittle the death of Jesus on the cross. If the works salvation crowd diminish it by adding works to it (Galatians 2:21) then the Antinomians make a...
