Another Reason For Roman Catholics to Reject Sola Scriptura: To Keep Their OWN TRADITIONS!

Mark 7:9 says, "And He (Jesus) said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God that ye may keep your own tradition." and in verse 13 saying, "Making the Word of God of none effect through your tradition which ye have delivered and many such things do ye."

Okay tradition is NOT a bad thing as worship service, singing hymns, charity works and soulwinning are all parts of the tradition of the Christian Church but tradition is BAD when it is man's own twisted imagination going against the Word of God! And it's what EXACTLY the Roman Catholic Church is doing- overriding the Word of God with tradition. No wonder why we read so many foolish articles from Catholic faith defenders mostly made from their own vain imaginations (Romans 1:21). Although seemingly Christian because of the "basics" however the surface is nothing more than a whitewashed tomb but inside it are full of dead man's bones.

So how does it work? Well if the Council of Trent headed by the Pope himself declares itself the final authority OVER the Scripture which is the Word of God. then they and not the Word of God will be followed. In order for them to implement whatever they want, they actually disregard the commandments of God and based from their own "infallible church dogma", they make their ever-changing doctrines that have spun throughout the centuries. What example can I give of ever-changing doctrine? Well from corrupting the Latin Bible which contained God's Word undefiled, they began to alter the doctrine even removing essential verses or perverting them. Matthew 23 is a very GOOD description of what the Roman Catholic Church REALLY IS!

Also in the catechism a good example of spinning around and disregarding any command from God is that even if the Catholic Bible DOES NOT agree with the doctrine of graven images in the Exodus 20:4-5 which disallows the making of ANY graven image and there are PLENTY of verses in it against the making of any graven image yet they in the official teaching REMOVE the Second Commandment and SPLIT THE NINTH into two! That is proof of disregarding God's command to keep their own tradition. Other corrupt commands were involved such as infant baptism, confessionals, praying to the "saints", praying to Mary, praying to angels, confirmation, the Rosary and even Purgatory was a Catholic invention NOT Bible. The Apocrypha (the source of more corrupt tradition later embraced by the Pharisees in Jesus' day) DO NOT agree with the Word of God just as the Book of Mormon does not agree with the Word of God either!

What consequences do follow? Well because they are doing what they want and NOT what God wants, they are utterly disorderly. It resulted to not only disorder within themselves but these resulted to the creation of prostitute daughters that are nothing more than diet Catholic churches like the Orthodox churches, the Mormons, the Promise Keepers, the Lutherans and the Hutterites to name a few. It's no wonder why Catholics are SO HARD to reach out too but NOTHING is too hard for God. It is our hope that Roman Catholics who read this will realize the need for salvation and to STOP trusting man-made religion because it's the BIGGEST SOURCE of conflict!

Note: None of us Baptist apologists will ever bother to debate with faith defenders of Rome over Sola Scriptura- it's a waste of time because we have souls to win and people to preach too... we've written our defense FOR OUR FAITH on why we can't agree with other religions and it's up to them whether or not they'll believe it or not.
