Martin Luther's Statement Against Ungodly Compromise
As part of celebration of Reformation Month NOT the occult Halloween Month (its deadly substitute), here are Martin Luther's words which are DEFINITELY not in fit to the late Martin Luther King (his deadly substitute) would say:
"The world at the present time is sagaciously discussing how to quell the controversy and strife over doctrine and faith, and how to effect a compromise between the Church and the Papacy. Let the learned, the wise, it is said, bishops, emperor and princes, arbitrate. Each side can easily yield something, and it is better to concede some things which can be construed according to individual interpretation, than that so much persecution, bloodshed, war, and terrible, endless dissension and destruction be permitted.
"Here is lack of understanding, for understanding proves by the Word that such patchwork is not according to God's will, but that doctrine, faith and worship must be preserved pure and unadulterated; there must be no mingling with human nonsense, human opinions or wisdom."
"The Scriptures give us this rule: 'We must obey God rather than men' (Acts 5:29)."
Clearly if Luther were alive today, he'd definitely criticize the "I Have a Dream" not for its quest for equality and non-violence BUT for compromising religious truth and error. He'd also tell Christians NEVER to celebrate Halloween. There is NO WAY that Luther would preach in a Jesuit-controlled evangelical in name only church like King would.
And here's Luther's quote during his trial at the Diet of Worms in 1521:
"Unless I am convinced by Scripture and plain reason, my conscience is captive to the Word of God. I cannot and I will not recant anything, for to go against conscience would be neither right nor safe. God help me. Here I stand, I can do no other."
So far much of Luther's biography has been vandalized, even some of his apostate followers eventually made an ORGANIZED RELIGION after him (and note he even hated the name Lutheran!) while he NEVER laid a single brick nor teach another doctrine but the Bible, added baptismal salvation to the original Augsburg Confession all in his name, etc., such fools would have violated the words above. However I am glad for reliable books like "Foxe's Book of Martyrs" that have continued to expose the evils of Rome and for brave pastors who have done a lot of exposing smokescreens.
Source of the Luther quotes were provided by Pastor John F. MacArthur.
