Dinosaurs in Job?

Image
The Bible presents two mysterious creatures in Job. Now it's time to examine the two creatures one by one. In Job 40:15-24 has the description of the Behemoth's physical attributes as: Eats grass as an ox which makes it obviously an herbivore Strength is in his loins and his force is in the navel of his belly Moves tail like a cedar , the sinews of his stones are wrapped together Bones are as strong pieces of brass, bones like bars of iron Lies under shady trees in the covert of the reed and fens The shady trees cover him with their shadow, the willows of their brook compass him about He drinks up a river and hastes not This could not be merely a hippopotamus or an elephant. Elephants are not big enough to drink up a river, the tail is not even big as a cedar. Moving to scientific facts, cedars are also capable of growing up to 40 meters. So what kind of animal has a tail that long? Some of the dinosaurs that were classified later by secular scien

Who Were the Sons of God in Genesis 6:1-4?

This is a controversial issue among Bible scholars even among the truly born again Christians to who the sons of God were in Genesis 6:1-4. One has to closely examine the grammatical and textual usage before jumping into any conclusions: And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My Spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. One has to notice the context. Kindly notice that the text DOES NOT SAY that the giants were the children of the sons of God and daughters of men. Yes giants do exi

Antinomianism is Heresy

Image
The whole issue is this there is the creeping heresy of Antinomianism.  This is the outrageous heresy that converts the grace of God into nothing more than a license to sin.  The first and common objection to this is nothing more than the issue of separating Jesus from His Lordship.  Oh no, that is so totally false.  As said, Jesus warned in Matthew 7:18 that you will know a real Christian by their fruits.  The heresy of Antinomianism however also teaches this that Christians because they saved by grace can sin all they please.  What the?  That is just plain crazy.  Here are some statements that are totally bizarre and casts a huge shadow of doubt whether or not the persons who said these are truly Christians: "Can a homosexual continue being a homosexual after being saved? The answer is yes." "Just believe once and you are forever saved even if you don't believe afterwards." "I can kill twenty children in an elementary school and still be saved.&q

Misapplying Acts 9:31's Greek to Prove Roman Catholicism's "Legitimacy"

Image
Catholic faith defenders who are aware of how fundamental Christians (especially Baptist Christians) are using the Greek in Apologetics (available from scripture4all.org) one can see the Greek as: Kindly click to enlarge Kindly open the image in a separate window to get a clearer view. One can see the words "kath" and "holEs" which can be easily read as Catholic. So what does the word "Catholic" mean in the first place? Catholic means universal. The word "ekkelasia" (assembly or church) also appears before "kath holEs". Does this justify the origins of the ROMAN Catholic Church? Absolutely not. Now to get a clearer glimpse-kath holEs here means "down whole" which is all of JUDEA not Rome. Again, the argument falls down flat. Sadly Roman Catholic faith defenders who are blindly loyal to their Pharisaical system and its Pharisees will continue to misuse even the Greek to get a point even when the Greek does not do an

Confusing Lust with Love

The world will always have its wrong definition of love regardless of what time of the year it is. It can be true for Valentine's Day which is considered a Roman Catholic feast day. What is utterly disgusting is that Valentine's Day which they say is a love day has ended up being associated with Eros or better known a Cupid. One can see Cupid logos, believing Cupid's arrows will fly yet there is a sinister story behind Cupid. Cupid's Greek name as Eros is where the nasty word "erotic" comes from. Also, Aphrodite the lascivious, promiscuous goddess of sex has also been associated with the pagan festivities. In short from the introduction, it's all about confusing love with lust. So what's the point? People confuse lust with love. It's like for example that they say, "I love the girl because she's so hot." However one has to be careful to define love. While agape love which Apostle Paul used in 1 Corinthians 13 described as pati

Boaz's Waiting: A Model Men Should Follow

As this is love month - perhaps another topic that would be worth talking about is Boaz who was the son of Salmon and the former Canaanite harlot Rahab. What can be learned from Boaz? Many men today can't wait for their right women so they end up with the Delilahs of their wives instead. It may me too late to sing "Delilah" when the bad woman has done too much damage. So what was the big deal with Boaz? Boaz was simply a man who was doing what God had him to do. And his story with Ruth suggests that he was patiently waiting. It can be suggested the fact that Boaz had no mention of a previous marriage that he was still single. The fact that the called the Moabite Ruth as "daughter" suggests there was possibly a huge age gap between them. Knowing that marriages in ancient times happened when girls were at least sixteen years old may suggest he could be in his 40s or perhaps 50s. Regardless, Boaz must have been a very patient man. Unlike the others who rushed

Jesus' Tough Love

The whole world is saying to the typical fundamentalist Christian, "You are not showing the same kind of love Jesus is showing."  Well here's what - this Valentine's month, it's time to present that Jesus showed the real kind of love, not the twisted concept of love.  How loving is Jesus?  Here are some things you've got to realize: 1.) He loves people ENOUGH to tell them the truth about sin and remind them of their sins! Just as said, love does not rejoice in falsehood but rather rejoices in the truth (1 Corinthians 13:6).  A good example of Jesus' tough love was that in John 4:18, Jesus reminded the woman of the well that she was living in adultery. Can you imagine that?  Sadly many preachers today hardly bring up sins that many sinful people consider as to be "nothing wrong with it".  Jesus kept speaking about sin and He loves the sinner so much that He will not sugar coat the truth as to tell them the truth about sin
