Why the Pope Isn't the Head of the Church!

Charles Spurgeon one of the greatest Baptist pastors in the late 1800s said, "Of all the dreams that have ever deluded men, and probably of all blasphemies that ever were uttered, there has never been one which is more absurd and which is more fruitful in all manner of mischief than the idea that the Bishop of Rome can be the head of the church of Jesus Christ. No. These Popes die, and how could the church live if its head were dead? The true head ever lives and the church ever lives in Him."    This gave me thoughts on the following events in my lifetime- the reign of John Paul II from the time I was a naughty degenerate child to the time I got saved to the time I grew up in the faith, the seven year reign of Benedict XVI after the death of John Paul II and then he RESIGNS and now the election of Pope Francis I.  Here are reasons:

1.) Ephesians 5:23 says in the Good News Translation, "For a husband has authority over his wife just as Christ has authority over the church and Christ is Himself the Savior of the Church, His BODY."  Colossians 1:17-18 again from the Good News Translation says, "Christ existed before all things and in union with Him all things have their proper place.  He is the Head of His body the Church, He is the source of the body's life.  He is the firstborn Son who was raised from death in order that He alone might have the first place in all things."  Hmmm... and Roman Catholics are encouraged to use the Good News Translation?  To think about it, I was impressed with books on Roman Catholicism's false doctrines that were refuted with the use of a Roman Catholic translation since I do have a hard time reaching them out with a King James translation especially I'm pretty much the "The King James Version is the only Word of God." though I am not a Baptist brider.

2.) The Popes are only human beings.  Based on Spurgeon's statement, the Popes are mortal men.  How can a mortal man a sinner in need of God's grace be the Head of the Church when Christ Himself is the Head?  It is a two headed monstrosity of contradiction- I am glad I only have one head because having an extra head  or heads means having a contradiction you can't get rid of!  Try to notice how animals with two heads tend to live a lot shorter!  In fact Spurgeon pointing out the Popes die, so don't tell me every time a Pope dies or resigns, the Roman Catholic Church is headless?  Notice that Colossians 1:18 calls Christ as the head of the body and the SOURCE of the body's life.  There is NO such thing as a head transplant- that only happens purely in fiction like the existence of fairy godmothers!

3.) The idea of electing a man as the Head of the Church is absurdly blasphemous and stupid to the bone.  I dare say that because as said, Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church.  Again it's really no problem for Roman Catholicism to do so considering that a LOT of its doctrines are a result of rejecting God's Word in exchange for manmade tradition (Mark 7:8-9) like Purgatory and the dogmas concerning Mary (some even are so debated upon for CENTURIES!) and 1 Timothy 4:1-3 predicts apostasy at its finest- mandatory fasting, enforced celibacy and doctrines of men and not of the Bible.  For those Cardinals to decide who becomes the Head of the Church is challenging Him, the Lord Jesus Christ.  It's no wonder why the Reformers and many traditional Baptist preachers called the Pope as an antichrist himself because he claims the titles that are due to God alone.  Luther, Calvin, Knox, Huss, Tyndale, Whitfield, Spurgeon, Henry- they all called the Pope as Antichrist!

Only if more Roman Catholics will just spend MORE time reading their Bible and comparing it with their catechism, they will find a LOT of contradictions and they should STOP listening to the priests and those annoying Roman Catholic faith defenders who I refuse to debate with because they are a huge waste of time.  I discovered the truth through a Roman Catholic Bible, Martin Luther sparked the Reformation with a Roman Catholic Bible, some Baptist preachers sparked a Baptist revolution by preaching from a Roman Catholic Bible telling Roman Catholics the real plan of salvation.
