My Reaction Man Dying During the Black Nazarene Procession

It's a sad fact that last January 9, 2015 somebody had died during the procession from a heart problem. He has later declared dead on arrival. All I can say is sad to say but the man is already burning in Hell right now. He didn't trust the real Lord Jesus Christ, he trusted a false Jesus who was nothing more than a graven image. It was a false god no different than the images you see in a Buddhist, Taoist or Hindu temple to name a few.

Why do people attend this procession? I remembered Pastor Ruben L. Lumagbas Jr. of Bible Baptist Church-Katipunan said in one of the services about its devotees expecting healing. They crowd before the Black Nazarene to get its so-called "miraculous power". Some wipe their handkerchiefs on it believing that it has acquired that miraculous power, never mind with all the germs. People get injured or even die during this mayhem. One may try to use the "Ark of the Covenant' argument but remember, nobody worshiped the Ark. Nobody even touched the Ark as anybody who touched it died in an instant. But people here were touching the graven image.

Jeremiah 10 calls all the idols as nothing more than vain tradition. You cut out a tree, you deck it with silver and with gold, you fasten it nails. Then it must be carried because it cannot walk on its own. Likewise, the Black Nazarene is not the Jesus of the Bible but a false Jesus. Some may say, "Well the people saw the face of Jesus on His day." But no picture of Jesus is left behind for our day. That's a different scenario and I believe Jesus had a purpose not to get Himself carved. He didn't want people to look at the image but to Him. The "Shroud of Turin" is nothing more than a fraud.

Also this is a real mockery. Hebrews 10:12 which is EVEN in the Catholic Bible says that the sacrifice of Jesus is already completed. You cannot add nor subtract from the sacrifice of Jesus. This very act is really insult to him. They are all replacing the blood of Jesus for a cheap idol that is a mockery of the real Jesus Christ. As a former Roman Catholic, I can only feel sorry for the blindness people suffer from this stupidity.
