The Categorical Error of Comparing Mary to Her Ancestor Bathsheba

To continue in their blunder of worshiping Mary (which they deny they do), they would go as far as to compare Mary to Bathsheba.  Bathsheba was the mother of Solomon and later, she became the queen mother when Solomon became king.  When or how Bathsheba died has not been specified though all she was remembered for was for her adulterous affair and the heel-face turn she made when she became a mother to model.

Now let us examine the context of the verses they had misused that Jesus will not refuse Mary.  1 Kings 2:17-20 would make it look like that Solomon would never refuse Bathsheba.  It would make them say, "See, we told you that Jesus would never refuse Mary."  This of course happens to be a categorical mistake and not to mention a huge eisegesis.  It is as ridiculous as preaching about the Rapture of the Church from John 11 when it should have been about the resurrection of Lazarus.

The context of the chapter was where Adonijah the oldest surviving son of David (Chileab must have died prematurely, Amnon was murdered by Absalom, Absalom was slain by Joab) wanted to claim the throne now wanted to claim Abishag the Shullamite.  This was a very act of treason considering that she belonged to the king and therefore, this was trying to claim the throne.  The context first has it that Bathsheba thought Solomon would not refuse Adonijah.  At first Solomon said she would not refuse his mother but later, you know what happened.  Solomon struck Adonijah down for the very act of trying to seize the throne instead of giving in to Bathsheba's request.

In the case of Mary, remember she is the mother of Jesus in His humanity but not in His divinity.  I really find it disturbing how Roman Catholics could even twist the meaning of John 2:1-12 when it came to the issue of the Marriage Feast in Cana.  Even when Jesus told her politely not to tell Him what do which resulted to Mary saying that we should only do what He tells us to do, they still think it is a very act of interceding between men and Jesus.  While she is important to fulfilling prophecy but nobody had to pass through her in order to get saved.  She does not intercede for anyone and if she did not even say, "Jesus turn the water into wine." but instead said, "Do whatever He tells you.", she does not dare compete against Jesus Christ in His divinity as she reigns with all believers in Heaven.
