A Biblical Perspective on Rape and Why Women Need to Dress Modestly

There's no denying that rape is indeed a serious offense. I'm not going to deny the gravity of rape as a crime and why it should be punishable. The Old Testament law even has laws to put the rapist to death in Deuteronomy 22:23-27. Also, it's a mistake to think that Deuteronomy 22:28-29 says that a woman must marry her rapist if she isn't betrothed to any man. The father is ultimately in authority over her and can refuse the rapist. Worse, the rapist if he has done any damage to life then he could be charged according to the eye for eye and tooth for tooth law. Today, rape can carry up to the death penalty regarding the severity of the offense. However, there is the rising campaign of women called "My Body, My Rights". Women becoming victims of sexual violence by men is not a joke. Just because a husband has rule over his wife doesn't mean marital rape is okay. Just because a man has authority over a woman that the former can ask the latter for illicit s...

A Biblical Perspective Concerning the Anti-Terrorism Bill and the Communist Party's Desire for Legitimization

Political correctness makes you stupid, doesn't it? Recently, Filipino Communist groups have been going together with rejecting the anti-terrorism bill entirely. Then you've got fools who are now advocating to get rid of the anti-terrorism bill and suggesting that the Communist Party of the Philippines should be legitimated as a legal political party and have a voice. There's the need to voice out against such foolishness because what they want is detrimental to the welfare of the Philippines or any country. A biblical perspective on the anti-terrorism bill The Anti-Terrorism Bill would be good if it's only meant to execute wrath against them who do evil. Some people have expressed their concern on arrest based on suspicion which should be addressed since it's a misuse of one's authority. Some people went all the way from the desire to junk the said bill into correcting whatever flaws are in it prior to submission. Soldiers and policemen are ordained by ...

Focus on Soulwinning, Not on Conspiracy Theories This COVID-19

It's no secret that the Coronavirus or COVID-19 is really a terrible thing. There are talks about that COVID-19 may start a whole new world order. There are talks about COVID-19 is a dangerous bioweapon. There are even people who say that the COVID-19 will ultimately lead to the mark of the Beast and a New World Order. There are also anti-vaccine people such as those in the nutjob sites Reformation Online, Now the End Begins, and Jesus-is-Savior. You also have Infowars with Alex Jones and Conspiracy World with Texe Marrs. the list can go and there's so much of it that I might as well avoid piling them up. Marrs and Jones may be anti-Catholic but they certainly aren't reliable. COVID-19 conspiracy theories are indeed piling up like crazy that it's a great distraction from the Great Commission. COVID-19 is just one example that God's judgment is coming. There was also the Spanish Flu in 1919. There was also the Cholera Outbreak of 1854 during the time of Charles H....

Surviving and Winning Against COVID-19 by Obeying Romans 13

The Coronavirus pandemic is still going on worldwide. Some people are making things worse by not obeying simple rules and regulations. They are told to stay at home and they are told why they need to stay at home. They are given guidelines on dos and don'ts. Others are given permission to work from home as mandated by the government. Yet, they still don't want to obey that mandate. The only time the mandate must not be followed is only when you're told to disobey God or do something evil. However, Christians are told to pray for wicked authorities. Daniel 3 tells us about how Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego disobeyed King Nebuchadnezzar but they exercised civil disobedience. You don't see the three of them rebelling against the king. They disobeyed the king in the most civil way possible and accepted whatever punishment may come. Subjection to authority Now, why do I think about surviving COVID-19 by surviving Romans 13? Here is what Romans 13:1-7 presents: Le...

Please Pray to God to Give Wisdom to Your Authorities in the Midst of Any Crisis

The Coronavirus epidemic is no joke just like any crisis before or whatever will come after it. There are people today who would rather defy authority than submit to authority when need be. Easter Sunday may be coming tomorrow but the Coronavirus struggle is far from over. It's showing how sinful man has become and the consequences are piling up. There are some countries that are showing incompetence while others are showing competence in handling the crisis. Unfortunately, China is still persecuting Chinese Christians in the midst of the Coronavirus epidemic. However, Chinese Christians aren't planning to overthrow their current ruler Xi Jinping who is a tyrant.  How would the Apostle Paul answer it? I hear Romans was written during the time of Emperor Nero. If it was written in 57 A.D. then Nero ruled then Paul was writing it during the reign of a tyrant . Who couldn't forget that Nero was a sexually depraved and incompetent ruler who nearly destroyed Rome? The Senate ...

Separation of Church and State Doesn't Give Religious Organizations a License to Criminal Activities

The Bible teaches the separation of church and state in the New Testament. However, it doesn't mean that the Church has no right to criticize the state for its shortcomings (such as John the Baptist criticizing Herod Antipas' adultery and Paul talking to King Herod Agrippa II in the Book of Acts) and it doesn't exempt any religious institution from submitting to authorities either (Romans 13:1-7). What is the separation of church and state mean? this is what " All About History " says about it: The constitution states, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." Both the free exercise clause and the establishment clause place restrictions on the government concerning laws they pass or interfering with religion. No restrictions are placed on religions except perhaps that a religious denomination cannot become the state religion.  What does Romans 13:1-7 have to say about the princi...

Praying for the Salvation of One's Unsaved Leaders

Does it not upset you when you are a Christian and your country's leader is not saved? It certainly should upset anyone. Christians are told to obey and submit to their leaders unless they are told to do something wrong but they are never commanded to rebel. Right now, it should be very upsetting to hear that while Philippine President Rodrigo R. Duterte declared January as the Bible month yet he ended up challenging the God of the Bible at the same time. He even said God could be stupid based on the context of Genesis 3 concerning Adam, Eve and the original sin in the Garden of Eden. He needs to see the need for God in his life. That should be a red flag that Filipinos need to put him in their prayers instead of attempting to overthrow him. Romans 13:1-7  Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. [2] Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resis...

Don't Forget That the Roman Catholic Institution Has a Very Long History of Inciting Sedition

The Roman Catholic institution has its long fraudulent history of claiming to be the "One True Church that was founded in 33 A.D. - Holy, Catholic and Apostolic". The word catholic is a synonym for universal but the disciples were never first called Catholics in Antioch but Christians (Acts 11:26). Catholic was used as an old world for universal which some people today are allergic to that word because Catholic has been used to describe people who are members of the Roman Catholic institution. What can be talked about now is the fact that the Roman Catholic institution has had a long history of inciting sedition in governments. While they claim it to be doing the "work of God" or as the Jesuits say "Ad Maiorem Dei Gloriam" or "For the greater glory of God." but is it really? Doing some study of the history of the Vatican has it shown that the Inquisition and later the Jesuit Order have a lot of bloody rags to answer for. Did you know that many ...

Politically Correct People Are Whiny Crybabies Who Hate the Inconvenient Truth

Image
Politically correct people are too easy to offend. Just tell them the inconvenient truth and they start whining like there's no tomorrow. Share a Christian post against any legalized sin on social media and expect it to be reported for spam or reported as hate speech against people. That should be considered funny as to how many social media pages are actually doing real hate crimes and they are still entitled to do what they do on their respective social media platforms. So many people spread hate about Christianity, Christians report them and the administrators of the social media pages usually don't do a thing about it even when it violates community standards. A good example is when warning homosexuals of the dangers of their activities is considered a hate crime while a homosexual's desire to murder Christians may no longer be considered a hate crime. It's pure selective justice and selective outrage by those who consider themselves liberals by worldly stand...

Handling Christians' Objections Towards the Death Penalty

I remembered having some trouble with my views on the death penalty with Roman Catholics. What should have surprised me or not is that some Christians who are truly saved do object to the death penalty? They have various reasons which I will address. Part of being a Christian means correcting one's brethren of their mistakes.  Objection #1: The death penalty is Old Testament law Some Christians think that the death penalty is just an Old Testament law that got repealed in the New Testament. This is a problem when they fail to study their Bible properly. While they have gotten their soteriology right, they question the conversion of people who claim to be Christians but evidence suggests otherwise but they are against the death penalty. They say that the death penalty may belong to the ceremonial law. They may think that Jesus abolished the death penalty in John 8:1-11. But do they know the context? The problem is not the death penalty. The Pharisees should have brough...

Taking the Law into One's Hands and Casting the First Stone

There's the new trend called vigilante killings. It would be good to speak against the political correctness and foolishness of international groups like Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch but it's also wrong to take the law into your hands. While John 8:7 doesn't condemn the death penalty but it also condemns taking the law into one's own hands. The problem wasn't the death penalty but that the Pharisees were actually taking the law into their hands. There's a problem of quoting Exodus 20:13 to go against the death penalty while saying the death penalty is just in the Old Testament. Exodus 20:13 talks about murder. Death penalty is not state murder but defensive killing. The same Bible that condemns murder also commands the death penalty for murderers. Read through all of Exodus to Deuteronomy and find out that the same God who condemns murder also ordered the death penalty for murderers. Pope Francis or anyone has no right to condemn death penalty ...

Political Correctness Won't Make Sin Smell Any Sweeter to a Holy, Righteous God!

Image
It's very easy for any Christian to get sick and tired of sin. There shouldn't be any good reason why sin should be given fairer names. One of the worst things they did was to use the word gay which means happy to describe a male homosexual. I don't want to call it LGBT but rather it should just be called the sodomite or homosexual community. If you're engaged in bisexuality you're still a homosexual. You still violate God's precepts concerning homosexuality. The huge problem is that to be politically correct means you should make certain sins look like they're not sins. In short, it's all about legalizing certain sins. The problem is that just because man makes sin legal doesn't mean it's legal according to God's Law. Remember a lot of stuff were legalized by tyrannical rulers such as worship of false gods, unjust taxation, child sacrifice (and today it continues in the form of abortion) and murdering God's servants. When the prophet...

Don't Let Politically Correct Anti-Christian Governments Take Your Bibles and Self-Defense Weapons From You!

Image
It's really stupid how people blame necessary dangerous objects like knives, hammers and guns for the murder over the person who misused them. It's stupid to even say that the Bible forbids self-defense. Remember, Jesus approved of self-defense. Here's what He said: Luke 22:36-38- "Then said He unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one. For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end. And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And He said unto them, It is enough." Godless governments hate it when they can't bully people so they target two stuff: the right to self-defense when one's life is in danger and the right to read the Bible. It's amazing how people today hate the idea of death penalty to defend the state or say one...
