Say No to Firecrackers

Image
It's obvious that the year end has come and this blog will soon reach its first anniversary.  But there's a little BIT of a warning that we'd like to give- say NO to firecrackers.  Here are the reasons why: Firecrakers contribute to the issue of noise pollution.  Some people can't sleep thanks to the firecrackers. Firecrackers contain a LOT of deadly compounds which chemistry deems usually dangerous that can cause various health problems including cancers and mental retardation to younger children which is emitted by the smoke caused by the firecrackers.  For more info, you can read here .   Not to mention firecrackers contribute to the injury level.  There won't be any graphic display here as this blog aims to be as child friendly as possible.  The news in itself every new year is filled with such graphic display of injuries which will not be elaborated further to avoid disgust. Worse, somebody could lose their home or their lives this new year. So

Counterfeit Virgin Births!

One of the greatest reasons why various people say that the virgin birth was but pagan (not Bible) doctrine is because the concept was also found in pagan mythology.  One must realize though that God already declared the virgin birth in Genesis 3:15 BEFORE the paganism in Babylon even begun.  So here are some counterfeit virgin births in mythology vs. what they really were: 1.) Greek mythology teaches various virgin births.  According to mythology (being written all over again) here are some of the (in)famous virgin births that were really based on sexual lust in contrast to God the Father choosing Mary to become the human vessel of His Son via the Holy Spirit: Zeus impregnated Semele to produce Dionysius the god of the earth.   Later Zeus was said to have impregnated Danae in the tower in the form of a shower of gold and sired Perseus who formed a kingdom. Perhaps the most infamous account ever was that of Hercules, the son of Zeus and the mortal Alcmene who crushed a s

Why a Virgin Birth?

Well it's Christmas and we're not here to tackle on worldly celebrations but rather to use it as a soulwinning opportunity.  So why was a virgin birth necessary?  In fact it was already planned in Isaiah 7:14 that a virgin woman will bear a child- that is definitely a MIRACLE that cannot be accomplished by natural laws.  Why did God plan a virgin birth?  So here's a little bit of the Bible's miraculous births: Sarah who was barren gave birth at 90 years old . Rebekah was barren for 20 years before Jacob was born. Rachel who was supposedly barren but she had Joseph then later Benjamin. Manoah's wife was barren but Samson was born.   Hannah was barren but gave birth to Samuel and eventually other children. Elizabeth at 52 years old gave birth to John the Baptist. So here's a little bit about the reality of sin.  It was by Adam's act of disobedience not Eve who spread death to mankind (Romans 5:12).  Genesis 3:15 was clear on this.

A Worldly View of Christmas is FATAL POISON

Here's a reality- Christmas had its pagan origins because December 25th was addressed as the birthday of Mithra.  However going back to ancient Babylon, there was also really no definite birthday for the child god Tammuz and depending on the culture, each one had a different birthday for their specific false gods.  There is nothing wrong with celebrating Christmas if Christmas want to honor John 3:16 and celebrate it as an opportunity to soul win people to Jesus Christ with GENUINE GOSPEL PREACHING. However the problems with Christmas is because of the worldly view can be seen with: Santa Claus- Replacing the Lord Jesus with an inferior being who but comes once a year and has to ask for your names!  This view is a very big breeding ground for worldliness and atheism.  Many atheists who were once pseudo-Christians said they stopped believing God exists when they found out that there is NO Santa Claus.  As said, there is no Santa Claus.  It's all a demonic hoax like

Why Jesus Christ is Better than Santa Claus

Here's a message to all the children: Santa Claus lives at the North Pole ... JESUS is everywhere. Santa Claus rides in a sleigh ... JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water. Santa Claus comes but once a year ... JESUS is an ever present help. Santa Claus fills your stockings with goodies ... JESUS supplies all your needs. Santa Claus comes down your chimney uninvited ... JESUS  stands at your door and knocks, and then enters your heart when invited. You have to wait in line to see Santa Claus ... JESUS is as close as the mention of His name. Santa Claus lets you sit on his lap ... JESUS lets you rest in His arms. Santa Claus doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, what's your name?" ... JESUS knew our name before we were born... Not only does He know our name, He knows our address too. He knows our history and future and He even knows how many hairs are on our heads. Santa Claus has a belly like a bo

A Sinner May Ask, "What About My Good Works?"

In the soulwinning business, one of the greatest forms of persecution by the unbelieving crowd is this, "Surely a God of justice will certainly grant me into Heaven for my good works."  The answer is no, no, no.  Here's a few facts that should be addressed about works salvation as some objections against such talking of self-righteousness like the rich young ruler: Works salvation is NOT at all realistic or practical.  Remember the thief on the cross who received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior did show works but to the works salvationist, that will not be enough.  Remember he was nailed to the cross and he could not do all the good works to be saved.  Or one may remember Lazarus the beggar was so weak, he could not work for his salvation.  The god of the works salvation crowd can't be good and merciful. Isaiah 64:6 declares that man's own righteousness is but filthy rags.  Man in his own state is but a man who needs salvation.  In fact, Isaiah 1:18 ta

Does Jeremiah 10:3-5 Talk About Christmas Trees?

Image
I remembered the time I was newly reading the Bible, after I switched to the King James Bible that I read Jeremiah 10:3-5 which seemed to suggest about Christmas trees.  The passage says, "For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of a forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.  They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers that it move not.  They are upright as the palm tree but they speak not: they must needs be borne because they cannot go.  Be not afraid of them: for they cannot do evil, neither also it in them to do good." When one looks at Jeremiah 10:3-5 in context, one has to even see the rest of the context.  The more I read it, the more I really see that it in context, we can read in Jeremiah 10:14 talks about graven images when it says, "Every man is brutish in his knowledge, every founder is confounded by the grave iamge: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath i

What Holy War Do Christians Fight?

Image
Somebody tells me this, "Hey you, you're doing nothing but picking fights? Do you know how many religions kill each other for the truth?" He says I am a bigot because I say the truth is worth fighting for, because I am firm in the stand that Christians are at a daily war. Yes Christians are at war but it's not like how the world would think it is or as some people call fundamentalists as "another Taliban". The very fact that Christians uphold John 14:6 has caused them to be labeled as bigots and religious terrorists. However in Biblical context, one cannot see that "love one another" would exempt to the holy war Christians fight. Take note that there is NOTHING holy (set apart for God) about Jihad, the Crusades and the Inquisition, they're all unholy because they're nothing but murder against those they consider infidels. But the holy war that Christians fight is this- Ephesians 6:12 says that the struggle of the Christian is not

Is Pastor Ray Comfort's Use of the Law to Reveal Sin in Preaching Flawed?

The answer is a BIG FLAT NO! It has come to mind that Pastor Ray Comfort of CARM.ORG and Living Waters is being criticized FALSELY and UNFAIRLY by false preachers that he is being Ray Discomfort (that's because he preaches messages that cause extreme discomfort to people who love their sin but comfort to preachers who preach against sin using the Law) because he preaches by presenting the Law as a way to show sinners that they are NEVER GOOD ENOUGH for Heaven. Some of the worst proponents of conditional security even tried to put him in heated debate. So what's really the point? To be honest, Hell's Best Kept Secret is really true with evangelization. Pastor John Rice said, "If you are not preaching against sin, then don't expect salvation." How can sin be presented? By the LAW. That's right the L-A-W- Law! If they can't read it, they really need to go to an eye doctor or better yet, reexamine themselves! The Bible is clear that the Law is a
