"Easy Christianity" Is More Often Than Not, Antagonistic Towards Verse By Verse Preaching

What I may have ignored a few days ago was that "easy Christianity" is also antagonistic towards verse by verse preaching.  I always thought about how the idea of "easy Christianity" has presented several unbibical views because it goes against verse by verse preaching.  I may not be surprised to find a lot of them going against the well-known expositors like John Gill and Charles Spurgeon, both Calvinistic Baptist preachers in favor of eisegetical preaching which does not take the Bible verse by verse. I may address a speculative way on how "easy Christianity" shows its very out of context preaching.  Let us go for the example of "pet verses" by "easy Christianity" to justify their heresies such as believers who are perpetually carnal or that there are Christians who never mature.  Perhaps their favorite "pet verses" are 1 Corinthians 3:1 and Ephesians 2:8-9.  Unlike how expositors do it that they go verse by verse by verse

China May End Up Having The Largest Christian Population In The World!

Image
I started to listen to this video involving Pastor John F. MacArthur and Pastor Daniel Wong. Here the details of how China's Christian population has remained so steadfast to the Gospel where the Gospel is banned. Is it surprising? Not if you know the history of Christianity that the Gospel spread faster in communities where Christianity received the most opposition from the Pharisees to the Roman Empire. If you listen to Dr. MacArthur's video, this shows how China itself in spite of being a Communist nation, may soon be overrun by Christianity instead of Communism. China has the world's largest population in the world today. If you think of Pastor Wong's testimony, you see how the family endured persecution. Dr. MacArthur is saying that the strongest Christian community he has seen so far is in China, a country hostile to the Gospel because it's a Communist country. But with facts, did you know that the Inquisition and the Jesuit murders only strengthened the

Arthur W. Pink's Book "Eternal Security" is a Must Read

Image
Many people today have a very wrong view of eternal security and both sides, the Arminians and the Antinomians hold a very wrong view of eternal security. To the Arminian, the founder of the viewpoint Jacobus Arminius taught you lose your salvation every time you sin and that the doctrine of eternal security was made by Satan to mislead the saved back to him. To the Antinomian (many today might best be called the post-modern churches or "easy Christianity" who tend to be Antinomian by their actions with their can't live the way you want means works salvation doctrine) they believe that being saved mans, "Woohoo! I can sin all I want because I'm saved!" and believe that a Christian can remain carnal indefinite and still go to Heaven but with no reward. Arthur W. Pink shows that both sides of the coin are erroneous and not to mention, stupid. As I read through the chapters of Pink's book, he shows how eternal security actually leads to holiness than

Roman Catholicism Also Rejects The Idea That Good Works Springs Forth As A Result Of Salvation

The Roman Catholic Church ALSO rejects the idea that good works are the evidence of salvation by these sections of the Canon Law: Canon 24. If anyone says that the justice (righteousness) received is not preserved and also not increased before God through good works but that those works are merely the fruits and signs of justification obtained, but not the cause of the increase, let him be anathema.   Canon 32. If anyone says that the good works of the one justified are in such manner the gifts of God that they are not also the good merits of him justified; or that the one justified by the good works that he performs by the grace of God and the merit of Jesus Christ (of whom one is a living member), the justified does not truly merit an increase of grace, and eternal life, provided that one dies in the state of grace, the attainment of this eternal life, as well as an increase in glory, let him be anathema. Looking at these verses in the Canon Law of Roman Catholicism which I go

"Easy Christianity" Seeks to Separate Itself from Sound Doctrine!

Image
I found this cartoon funny but the reality is not funny because the person is really on his way to Hell. It's a grim reality that is waiting to happen with all the modern churches that are attempting to fit in with the theology of others. What I am upset about is that real sound theology should fit with the Bible verse by verse, context by context NOT have a theology that fits with the worldly viewpoint of the sinful man. Unfortunately, some churches have gone as far as to attempt to separate themselves from sound doctrine. 2 Timothy 4:3-4 says, "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." Salvation by works has been the most obvious danger that heresy fighters have been going against but it has its extreme opposite called salvation that does not result to good works, which i

The Great Baptist Preacher Charles Haddon Spurgeon Will Never Be Popular With The "Easy Christianity" Crowd

Image
Sorry but Charles Haddon Spurgeon won't be popular to the "Easy Christianity" crowd people who profess to be Christians but hardly have any regards for true holiness.  They say his preaching makes salvation difficult and complicated to understand.  Some have gone so far as to accuse Reformed preachers are getting a hurl of false accusations and who wouldn't the "live as I please Christian" not hate if not the Prince of Reformed Preachers, Spurgeon himself!  Spurgeon was a Reformed Baptist, a Calvinist and a no-nonsense preacher that the followers of "Easy Christian".  For them, it easy to be a Christian, just say a prayer and without any repentance of sin (which they erroneously misrepresent Lordship salvation as to require men to have a perfect repentance when we don't), that it's double talk to say that salvation is by faith but not by a faith that is alone (it's just like having a fruit bearing tree but not expecting it to bear f

Cain and the Atheist

Some people try to look at Cain as the religious person, but what they might ignore is the possibility  that Cain may have become the first atheist.  Remember that manmade religion is nothing more than displeasing to God.  When he tried to offer his vegetables, God rejected them for a reason. Most likely, it was because God wanted a blood sacrifice.  We can read that story in Genesis 4 and I will discuss how I believe Cain became the first atheist after God rejected his offering.  God is holy and He has every reason not to accept an offering that He did not want because it goes against His holy nature. In Genesis 4:16 we read that Cain went out of the L ORD's presence and lived in Nod where in the succeeding verses, he went to create his own city.  The whole idea that Cain lived in Nod, away from the presence of God is just like the atheist.  Most of the time, most atheists do not start out as atheists.  I read of how some atheists actually started out as religious people like a

More Often Than Not, Roman Catholics Tend To Have Contradicting Views Against Born Again Christianity!

I remembered how after I got saved by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, I abandoned the Roman Catholic system because of its heresies and lies, teaching salvation is maintained by works rather than good works are a result of God's grace, that it's anathema to know you are truly saved and every other unbiblical garbage, I have then realized how Roman Catholics tend to have contradicting views against born again Christianity. I have noticed how the mudslingers first can say, "Well those Protestants say they are saved by faith.  Wow, I can imagine their lifestyle that they sin all they want."  I have noticed how the Catholic Clips page (maybe it's ran by a person who attends church in a Jesuit parish due to the fact that the priest in the clips looks like a Jesuit priest) have more than once mocked the doctrine of faith alone.  It shows the Protestant Christian as a person who could care less about lifestyle.  I have noticed how many Catholic apologist sites and b

Can Catholics and Protestants Walk Together? Watch This Video By John Ankerberg To Find Out Why They Cannot!

Image
One of the crucial issues today is that, "Can Catholics and Protestants walk together?"  The answer is obviously a big no.  Here the late D. James Kennedy, John F. Macarthur and Robert Charles Sproul as they discuss the huge differences between Roman Catholics and Protestants.  One vital area over the other like worship, the authority of Scripture and above all salvation is a huge drawing line between Roman Catholics and Protestants.  If you have any Roman Catholic loved one, you can show them this video.  God bless!

The Amazing Work of God's Grace

Image
Click above for better appreciation Let me write this exposition of my favorite hymn known as "Amazing Grace". The song was written by Calvinist scholar, John Newton who said, "One of the most beautiful paradoxes in God's wisdom is sovereign grace. The same grace that is unmerited is also unstoppable.". He was once a slave trader but later became an Anglican clergyman. He could not describe the grace of God so fully and completely. The song itself really talks about the amazing grace of God. It was so undeserved, I don't deserve it, neither do you. Romans 3:19 declares that all people are therefore guilty before God. But then we have the grace of God that is so amazing that it really saved an undeserving sinner such as me and you. What happens in God's amazing grace is the work of salvation. Did you know it only takes ONE SIN to damn a man to Hell? James 2:10-11 says that even if you just disobeyed one law, you are guilty of breaking the whole Law

What Does It Mean When Paul Called The Babes in Christ as "Carnal"?

One of the greatest excuses for professing believers to live the way they want is 1 Corinthians 3:1 and worse, they use a CALVINIST translated Bible namely the King James version.  It's funny how they reject Calvinism and say Calvinists aren't Christians (in due fairness, some Calvinists are false converts and other non-Calvinists are still true converts) but they tend to adhere to the King James only.  Again, I am a King James onlyist because it's the best contribution of Calvinist translation.  Now let's take the Scripture into context as well as the GREEK to understand it further. 1 Corinthians 3:1 says, "And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ."  Let us take this verse into CONTEXT with both the Greek and the English.  Knowing the Greek would help us understand what the words mean.  The Pulpit Commentary says, "Verses 1-4. - The carnal conceit of the spiritually immature. Verse 1.

Christian Growth Is NOT ALWAYS GOING UP!

Image
God's plan is very different from your plan There is the statement, "God's ways are not our ways." which is taught in Isaiah 55:8.  We want a smooth path, God doesn't want a smooth path and He has His reasons.  In fact, God even gives allowance for a Christian to fall down but He doesn't leave the Christian fallen.  God's plan for the believer is not always going up but it goes up and down, up and down.  You cannot deny how God Himself had given a plan for sanctification. 1 Peter 1:7 calls that the very trial of faith is more precious than gold or anything corruptible.  James 1:7 talks about how the trial of faith is a purification process.  So why are there trials?  I would attribute to why trials exist is because Christians are still sinners.  Although they have been saved, they have been redeemed, they have been sanctified but they are still sinners.  God has His reasons to why He doesn't make Christians sinlessly perfect.  Instead, He has

Christians Please Don't Expect A Perfect Sanctification!

Image
Proverbs 24:16 - "For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief." While one must emphasize that works is an evidence of being saved, however do not expect a perfect sanctification one way or another.  There's no perfect repentance, then there is no perfect sanctification either.  The Christian life can be viewed with a series of ups and downs.  Nobody is ever perfectly sinless in the Christian life yet there is the way of sanctification. 2 Peter 3:18 says, "But grow in grace , and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever.  Amen."   When a person gets saved, it starts with infancy.  The whole issue is in 1 Corinthians 3:1 when Paul addresses the problem of carnality.  Now let me get it clear, all Christians still have that problem of carnality but you cannot be a Christian and be in a continuous carnal state.  However, there is always the expectation of fa

Declare a Spiritual War Against the Heresy of Teaching the Possibility of a Fruitless Christianity

Image
We read in John 15:1-12 say, "I am the true Vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit He taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.  Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.  Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.  I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.  If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.  If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.  Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye

Analyzing Some Logical Fallacies Atheistic Evolutionists Tend To Adhere To

Let me remind you that NOT all evolutionists are atheists as some of Charles Darwin's disciples were religious people and the late Pope John Paul II embraced evolution as fact.  However it seems to be that all atheists accept evolution because the alternative, that is special creation is "unthinkable" for them.  It also seems to be that believing in evolution seems to be an essential part of atheism.  It's time to tackle on the logical fallacies that evolutionists make.  It would be important to know their logical fallacies aside from gathering scientific evidence against evolution. Ad Hominen - Attacking the person instead of the argument Evolutionist have attacked somebody who talks against evolution simply because the person is not a biologist.  They think that unless you have a Ph.D in Biology, you have no right to argue that evolution is unscientific.  Then again, since when have they been really open-minded to biologists who don't beleive in evolution ri

The Danger of Preaching Without Preparing the Hearts of the Hearers!

Image
I remembered the time I checked out Ray Comfort's videos called "True And False Conversion" as well as "Hell's Best Kept Secret" (better called "No Longer Hell's Best Kept Secret" and "Ray's Not So Best Kept Secret").  What I remembered from the video was how Kirk Cameron had discussed the issues that lead to a false conversion.  I have heard how people preach Jesus without preaching about the Law.  I remembered how he cited verses such as Psalm 19:7 and Galatians 3:24 that addresses the Law is needed whenever one preaches about conversion.  The story of the parable of the sower can be found in Matthew 13:1-23, Mark 4:1-20 and Luke 8:1-15. The big mistake many evangelists make today is when they water down the Gospel presentation.  Instead of starting with the issue of addressing sin and the need for repentance, so many times have they jumped into the benefits of salvation like a crooked salesman rather than telling anyone of

Renewing the Mind Day by Day

Image
Some say that the Reformation is over but for Christians, it's not over.  Although the great men of the Reformation such as Martin Luther, John Calvin, Huldrych Zwingli and John Knox have joined into glory, it is far from over because it must be done until Christ comes. So what does it mean to renew your mind?  Like it or not, Christians will still sin even if they no longer sin all they want.  I remembered the time I doubted my salvation, a pastor once said, "We are not yet sinless but daily we sin less." which is, notice sinless from sin _ less.  There is a huge difference from a sinless man vs. a man who sins less.  Let us examine some verses that talk about renewing the mind and see them in the context of God's Word. Joshua 1:8 says, "This Book of the Law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous

The Error of Justifying Easy Believism with the Thief on the Cross and the Jailer

The easy believist crowd shows a very watered down Gospel without really seeing the Scripture in its full context. Now let us analyze two examples IN CONTEXT so we can see what they really mean. I. The thief on the cross (Luke 23:32-43) Here the easy believist may easy take this out of context. However let us really examine the whole passage as it should be examined. Remember the other thief was once joining his companion in mocking Jesus had turned a leaf of repentance. Now let's see the passage and see it in its full context. Looking at verses 40-41 - we don't see a repentless salvation. While repentance of sin is necessary for salvation but as said, don't expect a perfect repentance. But this is repentance of sin and unbelief in action. Again, repenting of your sins is not works salvation. Look at the words that were spoken. First, the thief recognizes the holiness of God after a few moments ago, he was derailing Jesus. Perhaps now, he saw Jesus for who He was. H

A Crash Course in Calvinism?

Image
John Calvin is viewed to be the most influential Reformer aside from Martin Luther, Huldrytch Zwingli, Charles Wesley, John Wesley and John Knox.  John Knox would be the founder of the Presbyterian movement and the Wesley brothers, the Methodist movement.  However the hallmark of Reformed Theology is with Calvinism.  Although I don't entirely agree with John Calvin's other doctrines (ex. he believed that Mary stayed a virgin while he didn't elevate her like other women) but he had become responsible for the writing of several books and manuals that would be used so much in the history of Christianity.  What amazed me also was that John Calvin used to go to school together with the founder of the dreaded Jesuit Order, Ignatius of Loyola. I would admit I wasn't exactly a Calvinist.  I got saved at the age of thirteen years old, I soon repented of my sins and asked Jesus to be my Lord and Savior and thus begun that journey.  I would soon be fascinated by the brave hist

The Danger of Teaching "Hyper-Lordship" Salvation

Image
I believe that there is the heresy which I call as "Hyper-Lordship Salvation" which may get a person to be an overly nitpicking person. Now I just thought one of the reasons why Lordship salvation gets so much misunderstanding is because of the "Hyper-Lorship salvation" heresy which can teach the following heresies as I've observed and at times, I have even adhered to these heresies without examining myself: When a person refuses to forgive, it automatically means you were not forgiven to start with If a person denies he or she is a Christian, they are not saved to start with If a person does a horrendous sin as of the moment, they are not saved to start with If they are having moments of disobedience, they are not saved to start with The problem with hyper-Lordship salvation is that it demands sinless perfection. What about 1 John 1:8 that says if we say we have sin, then we have lied?  While Arminians may say, "Hey you can't show me a passag

Hyper-Calvinism Is A Lame Excuse Not To Go Soulwinning!

Hyper-Calvinism is a heresy in itself.  Here's how Philip Johnson of Grace to You describes Hyper-Calvinism: Hyper-Calvinism, simply stated, is a doctrine that emphasizes divine sovereignty to the exclusion of human responsibility. To call it "hyper-Calvinism" is something of a misnomer. It is actually a rejection of historic Calvinism. Hyper-Calvinism entails a denial of what is taught in both Scripture and the major Calvinistic creeds, substituting instead an imbalanced and unbiblical notion of divine sovereignty. If there has been any reason why non-Calvinist believers ever tend to accuse Calvinist believers of laziness and non-soulwinning, you can thank Hyper-Calvinism for that.  What you need to know is that some of the best soulwinners were adherents of Calvinism that may summarize the statement as, "We shall never know who the Elect are until we go soulwinning."  In the past, Calvinists were active soulwinners who did all the soulwinning they could t

Gay Activist John D'Emilio Admits Nobody is Born A Homosexual!

Image
Well some homosexuals are getting honest with the reality about homosexuality.  While some homosexuals accuse me of being hateful and say, "Well we are born that way, accept it!"  This homosexual writer admits that "born gay" is just a convenient excuse and that the "scientific evidence" is just as thin as a reed and that it's purely CHOICE.  Meanwhile, he is now in my prayer list, I hope God deals with him and that he will get saved.

Going Against Booze and Narcotics is NOT Stupid

Some people say that narcotics and booze should be legalized.  Are you kidding me?  Now while any sensible person can be open to the MEDICAL use of marijuana, however they should NEVER be used for recreation.  There is a problem with narcotics and booze when you think about the process things undergo to. Somebody may say that if I propose that narcotics and liquor should be considered in the ban list, why then do I not ban air and water?  This is a serious categorical mistake considering that air and water are necessities while booze and narcotics are not.  Now the issue of why booze and narcotics should be banned is because of the problem of the inherent excess of something in them.  An analogy may be why junk food is junk, it's because junk food contains too much salt that while salt is good for you, too much of it is bad for you. Let's take at the instances of why they have the problem of excess in both narcotics and booze: In narcotics, you might consider the problem
