The Five Solas is the Christian Lifestyle

There is the accusation that the five Solas defends the idea of a faith without works.  On the contrary, if you stick to Scripture alone for the foundation of faith and practice, everything starts to blossom even if there are periods of barrenness, fruit bearing is inevitable by the grace of God.  The five solas really becomes the lifestyle of the Christian.

Christians need the grace of God to overcome sin.  There is no way that the Christian can do any single moment without the grace of God.  Ephesians 2:8-10 shows how the grace of God works as salvation has never been about one's self but by the grace of God.  A Christian is saved by grace through faith - it is not of themselves, it is a gift of God so no man could boast.  There is no boasting in the Christian life even in doing good works.  God ordains His elect unto good works and the good works come out as part of the new nature.  Titus 2:11-14 says that the grace of God results to good works.  James 2:14-24 shows the truth …

Two Issues Where Many Roman Catholics Might Be Divided About

When it comes to witnessing to Roman Catholics, I have observed two areas where Roman Catholics might be divided about.  I would like to write this post though there might be more issues that Roman Catholics are currently divided about.  But I want to focus on their stand on those they call Protestants and about other religions.

1.) Roman Catholics may be divided on what to think about people they call as Protestants

When I became a born again Christian, I was soon estranged from a lot of my former peers.  I have observed Roman Catholics who either say, "You Protestants are burn again Christians." while other Roman Catholics say, "Protestants are just our separated brethren."  When it comes to the issues of Roman Catholics who consider the people they call as Protestants to be their separated brethren, they can also get into trouble with Roman Catholics who continue in their stand that Protestants are heretics that must be exterminated no matter what the cause.

Islam and Inbreeding

Studying details about Islam's history from a secular history book which made me vomit with all the inbreeding involved in their religion.  First cousins married each other for several generations and in one point, one of Muhammad's cousins Ali ibn Ali Talib was married to Muhammad's daughter Fatima Zahra.  What may be noted is that Muhammad's other mistresses happened to be his cousins and one of them was Zaynab bint Jahsh who previously married one of his adopted sons.

The problem of Islam and incest is really not much different than the incest of the ancient world.  Many royalties practiced incestuous unions creating generation of genetic freaks.  From the Pharaohs of Egypt who married their closest relatives, the Herods or the royal families of Europe - incest was a very common issue.  Sooner or later, all the negative traits will double exponentially.

Danish psychologist Nicholai Sennels reveals these ugly facts about Muslim inbreeding's consequences:

Conspiracy Theorists Are Usually Just Close Minded People with Wide Open Mouths

There is an anonymous quote that says, "The problem with close-minded people is that their mouth is always open."  James 3:5-6 says, "Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!  And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell."  The tongue might be very small but it causes great trouble and the mouth is not literally big but there's the statement, "Your mouth is bigger than your head."  That statement means you don't know when to close your mouth or your mouth is always open at the wrong place and the wrong time.

The same goes for the deluded logic of many conspiracy theorists.  Somebody can say that the term "conspiracy theorist" is a degrading term for the critical thinker.  There is a huge difference between a conspiracy the…

The Problem of Spineless Pastors

With this picture from Repentance Cry, I really can't help but agree with the humor of the artist. When a person is said to be spineless, it does not mean to be literally spineless but that person is a coward. The same can go for pastors who refuse to rebuke sin, then it's time to really say to them, "Wow preacher, you refuse to rebuke sin, maybe you don't have a spine!"

It's true it's never easy to rebuke sin and the Bible gives a warning about that. Proverbs 9:7-8 says, "He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot. Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee." and Proverbs 23:9 says, "Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words." When you rebuke a mocker, you should not even expect to be praised. When Solomon mentioned those verses, it was a warning that when you are going to do your job warning …

The Simple Man with Knowledge of Scripture Is Better than the Pope or Any Council!

Reading through the history of the Papacy, one can see how often one Pope contradicts the other.  One Pope says differently and the next Pope says something differently.   The events of Roman Catholicism's change of doctrine disproves the heresy that the Pope has been guided by the Holy Spirit that he does not make any error when it comes to doctrine.  Current events involving Pope Francis' errors like saying Christians cannot be manufacturing weapons for self-defense, that having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is dangerous and now he says Jews may get saved without Jesus Christ.  Please, do not give me the excuse that the Pope can be in error for all he pleases when he is not seated on the papal throne because many errors were made by previous Popes and this Pope seated on the papal throne.
The Bible was banned from the public and anybody who was caught sharing the Scriptures with commoners was declared a heretic with many of them becoming martyrs for Christ.  Man…

Sorry Atheists, You Cannot Make Jesus Go Away By Denying His Existence

Oftentimes, I hear atheists say that there is no God but in another moment, they acknowledge His existence but they hate Him for supposedly being "unjust".  Romans 1:21 says, "Because that, when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened."  It really shows sinful man knows that there is a God but in their foolishness, there is the tendency to say, "There is no God." (Psalm 14:1)  They know God exists but they want Him to go away supposedly for being unjust and unfair.  They want to live life for their own selves, not for the glory of God.  They want to live their life doing what they want free from the consequences of their sinful behavior.

Atheists can go ahead and say they do not hate God but deep within, they really know He exists but they hate Him.  They do acknowledge God exists but the problem they have is submission to His authority.  As Psalm 14 …

Steven Lawson's Sermon "Against the Claims of Atheism"

Here's one powerful sermon against atheism.  Steven Lawson presents a huge sermon on atheism's foolishness.  It does not mean that the atheist is intellectually stupid but this stupidity is in a more moral direction.  Listen to this powerful sermon to see what's wrong with atheism.

Pope Francis Is so Dead Wrong About the Dead!

I am really amazed at how some Roman Catholic apologists accuse born again Christians of following the pastor blindly while they follow the Pope blindly.  The statement that people assist the souls of Purgatory through good works, prayers and participation in the Eucharist really denies the the fact that salvation is intensely personal.  Salvation is one's individual responsibility and unfortunately, Pope Francis is just so dead wrong with just about everything.  I do not expect him to be be sound in doctrine considering that papal infallibility is a myth.  Although Roman Catholics do not believe that the Pope cannot commit mistakes but to believe that the Pope has the Holy Spirit to guide him in doctrinal issues has been disproved by historical data all spoken from the Papal Throne.
Salvation has been so intensely personal there is nothing that another person's actions can do to help the person.  You can share the Gospel with a person all you please but if he or she refuses …

Arthur W. Pink on the Trinity and Salvation

I remembered the quote that if you want to discredit Christianity, you need to attack the Deity of Jesus Christ first.  Some cults say that the Trinity is a pagan idea and the word does not appear in the Bible but it does in the word "Godhead".  When cults try to dismiss the truth of the Trinity, they take the Scriptures out of context or twist the meaning of the Scriptures.  It is no wonder why a lot of them refuse to let the people read the Bible for themselves.
The wonderful, glorious truth of the Trinity has been defended even in the Old Testament.  The Spirit of the LORD is none other than the Holy Spirit.  Genesis 1:26 has God saying, "And let Us make man in our image, after our likeness and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle and over all the Earth and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the Earth."  John verifies the Trinity when He writes in John 1:1-13 saying, "In the beginning w…

Reflecting on Pastor Paul David Washer's Quote on the Great Commission

Above is a quote by Paul David Washer on the Great Commission.  What is the first word that comes into the Christian's head with the words, "Great Commission"?  I guess the very first thing that comes into their head is, "It's time to send missionaries to various places."  Then when it's time to ask, "What do the missionaries do when they are sent out?"  The answer becomes, "Well we are there to send the Gospel truth to the people."  Those are indeed all the right answers but it's not enough as one must really know the truths of the Bible to be confident in defending them.  1 Peter 3:15-16 orders that Christians should be ready always to give an answer for the hope that is in them aside from sanctifying the LORD God in their hearts as to give shame to those false accusers who speak ill of them in meekness and in fear.  That's why it's also important to equip Christians with the right knowledge to carry out their work for…

Paul Washer on False Professions of Faith

If a person professes faith in Christ and yet falls away or makes no progress in godliness, it does not mean that he has lost his salvation.  It reveals that he was never truly converted." (1 John 2:19)
 ~ Paul Washer

I remembered the accusations that fly that Paul Washer teaches works salvation.  I just believed it before because I have not taken things into context but the more I studied my beliefs, the more I realized I agreed with the perseverance of the saints.  There are many people today who profess faith in Christ but there is really no progress in godliness and consistently falls away.  It does not mean that salvation has been lost but rather the person was never truly converted to start with.

Anybody who goes against the doctrine of the perseverance of the saints really needs to check the Bible.  It is really impossible to be a saved person and never to make any progress in godliness.  A Christian may not be sinless but they sin less.  There is no way that a true Christ…

Arthur Pink on Doctrinal Error and the Scriptural Truth Perverted, Wrongly Divided, Disproportionately Held and Taught

I remembered the statement, "Preachers, please preach expositorily."  I guess one of the many reasons why many easy believists hate the likes of Arthur W. Pink is because of expository preaching.  A lack of Scriptural exegesis or finding Scripture in context leads to a lot of errors.  I am not saying that expository preaching reduces a preacher's error to 100% considering you might meet slightly different interpretations from different Christian preachers.  Just because somebody quotes from the pages of Scriptures does not mean they are saved because when a Scripture is misquoted then it is misapplied, it is perverted, it is wrongly divided and it is not proportionately held and taught.

2 Timothy 2:15 says, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth." The keywords are "study" and "rightly dividing the Word of truth." Many people do not study their Scriptures dilig…

A Short Defense of the Book of Esther

There are some severely misguided preachers who think that the Book of Esther should not be in the Bible or even be considered Scripture.  I am afraid that this is a terrible misconception especially by conspiracy preachers.  Please do not quote from the Jewish Talmud (that had a lot of erroneous information about the Old Testament) as it's one of the most dangerous books that keeping Jews from getting saved.  I would like to write this defense for the Book of Esther.  It does not teach anything unbiblical and even if the word God does not appear in the book, the providence of God for the preservation of Israel is still there.  Not that I want people to indulge in treating Jews like royalty because when a Jew is saved, they are no better than any other Christian and when they are not saved, they are going to Hell as much as every other person.

Do you even know why Mordecai refused to bow down to Haman?  This was not a matter of arrogance or that he was power hungry.  The whole id…

Charles Spurgeon's Recommendation on Preaching With Fire, Pathos and Passion

While it's certainly uncalled for just any Christian preacher to be harsh and cruel, but at the same time the great Baptist preacher Charles H. Spurgeon warned that preaching should not be calm and quiet as if one were asleep.  It does help to be calm when you preach but it must be with fire, pathos and passion which means don't be lukewarm, convince an audience of an argument by creating an emotional response and love one's job as a preacher in the midst of all terrible persecutions.  In preaching, the emotions of people must be attacked to help them see that the they are sinners in need for forgiveness.  When it comes to the message of salvation, watering down the message is definitely not called for.  The message of sin must always be full and complete even if others are offended.
By post-modern standards, being soft-spoken is easily being confused with watering down one's message or some preachers can easily confuse fire, pathos and passion with becoming a yelling…

God's Love is Not "Unconditional"

Does God love everyone unconditionally?  I want you to listen to this video and realize that God's love is not unconditional.  Listen to this video and see that God demands you to repent of your sins and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.  People today want a God that's just loving but never angry with their sins.  God hates sin and that it condemns the sinner.  God loves people so much to warn them about judgment but He has a different kind of love for those who are His.  Listen to this video and find out.

Sulfur Found in Sodom and Gomorrah

I have heard some atheistic homosexuals say that the Bible is just a book of fables written by ignorant goat herders never mind that the Bible was written by real educated people.  In this short video, we will find that the sites of what used to be Sodom and Gomorrah contain much brimstone embedded on the ground.  The very thought of sulfur raining over two sinful cities is indeed a horrifying sight as the unrepentant perish before a righteous and holy God who will not put up with their sins.
Even with all the evidence of the Bible being true yet many atheistic homosexuals continue to harden their heart in rebellion against a just and holy God.  They still go ahead and play the victim whenever they are told the truth about their sinfulness.  I don't hate homosexuals- I love them enough to tell them the truth about sin, judgment and Hell because they are part of the mission field.

Preaching in "Easy Christianity" Churches Is Really Huge Warfare

The "Easy Christianity" crowd are just as self-deceived as any of the works salvation crowd when it comes to the assurance of salvation.  If preaching the Gospel to Roman Catholics or any unbeliever can be a painful experience - it might be more difficult to preach it in the "Easy Christianity" crowd.  The "Easy Christians" are very fond of cherry picking to justify their heresies like, "All judgment is wrong." or "Christians can remain barren and never change." never mind they are really missing a lot of verses found in the pages of Scriptures.  Although they may be seen preaching from the Bible but remember cults claiming to be Christians also preach from the Bible.  A Roman Catholic priest or a pastor of any cult claiming to be Christian may read from the Bible during a service but they are not handling the Word of God correctly.  The same goes for "Easy Christianity" pastors who may read from the Bible during a service b…

The Late Pope Pius XI's Blasphemous Quote

After studying courses on the Reformation, I am not surprised that a lot of the Reformers called the Pope to be the Antichrist.  Pope Pius XI's words saying, "You know that I am the Holy Father, the representative of God on the Earth, the Vicar of Christ, which means I am God on the Earth."

The words of the late Pius XI proves how much the papacy is nothing more than a subtle affront to the sovereignty of God.  Not only did he restrict himself as the sole representative of Christ but by saying he is the Vicar of Christ meaning substitute, as the Holy Father (even some Roman Catholic Bibles attribute it to God alone) and worse to say that he is God on the Earth is nothing more than blasphemy.  How can a mere man the Pope even dare to claim that he is God on the Earth?  That is just absolutely ridiculous because he is just a mere man.  No wonder 2 Thessalonians 2:4 says that the man of sin sits in the Temple of God claiming to be God.

Many Roman Catholics also have a ve…

Praying to Mary is Always Wrong

Roman Catholics even have their dumb excuse that aside that some of them lie that they are not praying to Mary, some of them say that they are not praying to the pagan goddess in Jeremiah 7 and 44.  I would agree with Roman Catholics that they are not praying to that exact goddess that the apostate Jews were praying to during the time of Jeremiah.  It was impossible for the Jews to be offering incense to Mary that time because she was not yet born but it was an act of idolatry nonetheless.  Depending on which culture, there were different versions of the Queen of Heaven like you can have Hera for the Greeks, Juno for the Romans, Devaki for the Indians, Isis for the Egyptians, Shing Moo for the Chinese and many other versions of the Queen of Heaven were made even in their home country as several goddesses were soon made for different reasons.  But it did not matter what name they gave the Queen of Heaven idol, it was still false worship nonetheless.
Roman Catholics can say, "But …

The Categorical Error of Comparing Mary to Her Ancestor Bathsheba

To continue in their blunder of worshiping Mary (which they deny they do), they would go as far as to compare Mary to Bathsheba.  Bathsheba was the mother of Solomon and later, she became the queen mother when Solomon became king.  When or how Bathsheba died has not been specified though all she was remembered for was for her adulterous affair and the heel-face turn she made when she became a mother to model.
Now let us examine the context of the verses they had misused that Jesus will not refuse Mary.  1 Kings 2:17-20 would make it look like that Solomon would never refuse Bathsheba.  It would make them say, "See, we told you that Jesus would never refuse Mary."  This of course happens to be a categorical mistake and not to mention a huge eisegesis.  It is as ridiculous as preaching about the Rapture of the Church from John 11 when it should have been about the resurrection of Lazarus.

The context of the chapter was where Adonijah the oldest surviving son of David (Chilea…

The Problem of Some Roman Catholic Apologists Bragging About Their Numbers

Here's a meme of Pope Francis that has been used by some Roman Catholics to actually defend their stand that they are the true church founded on St. Peter.  One of their favorite logical fallacies is to appeal to popularity.  I hear of news Roman Catholics are increasing and these apologists say, "See, we are the one true Church because we are multiplying."  But the whole problem of appealing to popularity is that numbers do not make right.  They can brag they are biggest religion on Earth but does that mean they are the true Church?  Let us see what the Bible says.

Matthew 7:13-14 in the Good News Translation (GNT) says, "Go in through the narrow gate, because the gate to Hell is wide and the road that leads to it is easy, and there are many who travel it.  But the gate to life is narrow and the way that leads to it is hard, and there are few people who find it."  Did you read the words I just underlined?  There are few people that really enter into eternal l…

The Favorite Weapon of Catholic Faith Defenders: Pastors Who Have Fallen into Sin!

One of the worst double-standards that Catholic faith defenders have is by saying, "But Evangelical pastors fall into sin."  I dare to acknowledge that, I dare rebuke them and I would like to tell the huge differences.  There is always the need to study current events, research the background of these pastors and the Roman Catholic doctrine.

I do acknowledge there are cuckoo pastors but they are not born again Christians.  No true born again Christian would ever be so crazy as to teach absurd doctrine.  When it comes to Catholic faith defenders, I have noticed how defensive most of them are when it comes to their priests committing sin.  While I do applaud some of them who are honest enough to admit it was certainly done by a Roman Catholic priest, I've observed many who are willing to really go defensive about their priests saying that whoever made the reports was allegedly possessed by Satan or used by Satan.  This is all done to protect the "image" of the &q…

Cheap Grace Theology is Deadly

Sometimes the term "easy believism" can be misused by people who say they believe it but they do not believe it.  One can say, "I believe in easy believism." but when you ask them their evangelism methods or their beliefs on conversion, they are quick to say, "There is no way that a true believer can ever live in sin for the rest of their life and have no change in life.  If such people claim to be saved but their lifestyle is different otherwise, I dare put a question mark.  Jesus is Lord, you cannot divide Him and if you are saved, you submit to Him on a daily basis and that submission grows."  Then it might be time to say, "You sir, are not an easy believist."  That is very different from the real easy believist or the believer in cheap grace theology.

Cheap grace theology is when you say, "Just believe and everything will be settled forever." without testing the validity of a true conversion.  While it only takes one to believe o…

Many Roman Catholics Play the Victim Whenever They're Told the Truth

I remembered some Roman Catholics have that annoying habit of playing the victim whenever they are told the truth about their spiritual state.  You start telling them they are not Christians, they get furious and play the victim.  I remembered how parents called a pastor crazy because he told the unsaved students they were not saved.  It has become a common habit of many Roman Catholics to accuse born again Christians of "hating" them when the opposite is true.

The problem of the "love gospel" has it that there is nothing more than the message of "unity" and "love" without real repentance.  Love can mean for anyone who is unsaved to be tolerance of all false religions, tolerance of sinful behavior, tolerance of heresies, not rebuking anyone and not to offend anyone with the truth.  One good evidence of love getting redefined is how today, spanking a child has been confused with child abuse, discipline is confused with dictatorship and spoiling…

Using the Brazen Serpent to Justify Idolatry

Roman Catholics have used the brazen serpent to justify their idolatry which they say is not idolatry at all.  I would like to first give the context of the brazen serpent then what really happened to it.  I will quote from both the King James Bible and the Roman Catholic Good News Translation.

Numbers 21:4-8 says, "And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way.  And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.  And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.  Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses praye…

Is Your Bible Missing Any Verses?

One of the reasons why I read from the King James Bible is because other versions are missing several important words or even whole verses.  Some Catholic scholars say, "Well they are not crucial verses."  Excuse me but every verse and word in the Bible counts.  I used to use the New International Version after I became a born again Christian but later, I switched to the King James Version after I realized what has been missing in those versions.
Here is a list of all the verses that were deleted from several Bible versions: Matthew 17:21 - "Howbeit this kind goeth not but by prayer and fasting."  Matthew 18:11 - "For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost." Matthew 23:14 - "Woe unto you, scribes, and Pharisees, hypocrites!  For ye shut up the Kingdom of Heaven and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation."  Mark 7:16 - "If any man have ears to hear, let him hear."  Mark 9:44, 46 …
