John Hus' Quote on the Truth

Born again Christianity was not born during the Protestant Reformation.  Instead, it was already the old command in John 3:3 says, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."  Born again Christianity is not just merely joining a group or religious sect - it is all about getting right with God, repenting of your sinfulness, seeing one's self as dirty before a holy and righteous God, and receiving Jesus Christ as your only Lord and Savior.  Born again Christianity has never been join a local church and follow the pastor without question.  This is a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.  This is more than just I know Him and He knows me as this personal relationship gets more intimate with walking in godliness.

Everything starts with seeking the truth.  When the truth is found, it is not enough to just find it and leave.  Instead, the truth must be listened to.  Then we are required to teach the truth, love it, abide by it and if necessary, die for proclaiming the truth.  Hus started out as a Roman Catholic priest but when he found out the truth of the Scriptures, he became a born again Christian prior to the start of the Protestant Reformation.  When he upheld the truth of the Scripture, he knew his life was at risk but he would rather die than not stand by the Scriptural truth.  The ashes of Hus as well as other born again Christians have only caused Christianity to grow instead.
