Don't Criticize the Roman Catholic Priests' Sexual Immortality While Covering Up For Sexually Immoral Baptist and Protestant Pastors

It can't be denied that there's really sex, shame and the Roman Catholic Church as a long topic. I could remember how there's that frequently spelled out lie that the scandals of the Vatican are but very minimal in contrast to the Protestant or Baptist circles. All the sins and scandals of the Roman Catholic institution have been swept under the rug. One of the reasons why I lost faith in the Roman Catholic system is the rampant immorality. Baptist churches have had a history where they have been usually serious about disciplining and exposing pastors who fall into sin. Yet, not all Baptist churches do so which is really a sad fact.

I really remembered how I used to admire Jack Hyles and once thought that all the assaults against him were just made-up fabrications. It's normal for the children of God to get phony accusations when they are faithful. Yet, it turns out that there are Baptist (and other Evangelical or Protestant churches) who are guilty of covering up sexual immorality. While the Roman Catholic institution does have a huge beam in its eye in the form of one scandal after the other - it doesn't mean that Baptist and other Evangelical or Protestant churches are exempt from such scrutiny.

I don't want to deny the sex scandals of the Vatican are very real. What should be sheer hypocrisy in among people who claim to be born again Christians is why are some of these churches covering up the scandals of their pastors and not do anything about it? It should be a very hypocritical how some Baptist and Protestant churches condemn the sexual immorality of the Roman Catholic institution while they keep covering up their own sins. It reminds me how Hyles' legacy is continued through sexual immoralities. A good example is how Jack Schaap was proven guilty of several accounts of adultery with various underaged girls - it doesn't make him any less immoral or evil to Roman Catholic priests who are committing adultery with the wives of their parishioners!

Remember Jesus warned in Matthew 23:3 that the Pharisees say and do not. Romans 2:21 says that you must practice what you preach. If pastors are to condemn the sexual immorality of the Roman Catholic priests then they must live clean lives. Pastors are required in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 to be good examples and to be sexually pure. How can a pastor have the right to criticize the sexual filth that happen within Roman Catholic seminaries while he cheats on his wife with other women? While Baptist and Protestant pastors don't teach that they are instruments for the salvation of souls yet it's still a blot to Christianity to have pastors who fail to meet the requirements in 1 Timothy 3:1-7! So if pastors can't keep a sexually pure life then they must consider stepping down because it's a serious contamination in the Church!

This should be a serious call. Continuing the Reformation today also means exposing sexually immoral pastors. God calls pastors to be examples of the flock and to feed with understanding (Jeremiah 3:15) yet why are they practicing the wayward pastors (termed as shepherds during the Old Testament) mentioned several times in Jeremiah? The high priest Eli's refusal to chastise his two sexually immoral sons resulted to the fall of his family for years to come. Pastors who act like the sons of Eli should be relieved of their responsibilities as they are dangerous leaven to the lump.
