Fixating on 9/11 Conspiracy Theories Won't Be Helpful in Winning Muslims to Jesus Christ

I don't want to deny that Islam had something to do with the 9/11 attacks which happened last 2001. The very act of the Twin Towers falling down is a great act of terrorism. It was simply another chapter of the bitter cycle of revenge. The U.S. invaded the Middle East, the Middle East terrorists attack the U.S. then we have former U.S. President George W. Bush who foolishly ransacked Iraq that he deserved the shoe thrown at him. The cycle of hatred continues because of the 9/11 fixation.

The average Muslim today may not even know how to fire a gun or throw a grenade. They may not even be part of Islamic terrorist groups like the Al Qaida, the recent ISIS, or the Abu Sayyaf. They may not even be willing to blow themselves up. Some Muslims even renounced the 9/11 attacks as un-Islamic. Take a look at the average Muslim today in non-Islamic states. Go to Indonesia and Malaysia and you still find freedom of religion unlike in the Islamic states. Muslims in non-predominantly Muslim countries are usually just minding their own business than hatching the next terrorist plot. Some Muslims were even worried about what 9/11 could do to them since they are really ignorant of their violent history.

There are some websites on the Internet that are even too focused on it. Some sites even want to suggest that it was supposedly a Jesuit conspiracy. Others want to refute that no planes supposedly hit the towers. My favorite examples are that Jesus-is-Savior and also Texe Marrs dare to present alternative culprits that don't make sense such as George W. Bush (although he's shown proof of being an open Vatican stooge by his actions) and Israel (which is even more ridiculous) without any proof whatsoever. Marrs himself even went as far as to malign the Book of Esther with very superficial allegations making him a flawed theologian. David J. Stewart of Jesus-is-Savior is so eaten up with conspiracy theories that his site is hardly productive in reaching out to the precious Roman Catholics and Muslims to Christ. Stewart goes as far as to say that Islam had nothing to do with it. Many of these sites got too focused on 9/11 that I wonder are they serious about winning Muslims to Jesus or not? That's why I stopped reading a lot of sites already later in my Christian life.

I could think of the 9/11 museum has one chilling artifact. A Bible page that was fused on a piece of rubble contained the message from Matthew 5 about loving your enemies. I don't want to deny Islamic terrorism is real but harassing Muslims who have done nothing is stupid. The average Muslim today is a victim of false teaching. Some of them just want to live their lives undisturbed. The problem is terrorist or not - everyone who doesn't have Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior is definitely headed for Hell!

What Muslims need is to hear the Gospel and not the 9/11 conspiracy theories shoved on their faces. They are the mission field along with everyone who is lost without Christ. Remember, just to focus on the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Muslims. They need to hear more about the bad news that their works can't save them and the good news that Jesus Christ is the Son of God ready to forgive them of their sins if they let Him.
