The Unchallenged, Unchanging, Unending, Lordship of Jesus Christ

How can the Lordship of Christ be unchallenged, unchanging, and unending? It's because of the doctrine of the Trinity. Some deist cults that believe Jesus is just a prophet claim that the Trinity was only added centuries later. The Iglesia ni Manalo cult and Jehovah's Witnesses are among those who state that heresy. One reason why I usually avoid using modern English translations is because of missing verses. Yet even without 1 John 5:7 in those Bibles - the Trinity is still affirmed in some way. How can Genesis 1:26 be about angels? Can angels create? Genesis 1:27 says that God created man in His image. Who could God be talking to? That would be the Father talking to the Son and the Holy Spirit. Genesis 1:2 confirms the eternal existence of the Holy Spirit. John 1:1-12 confirms that Jesus is the Word, the Word is with God, and the Word is God. The Trinity is that God exists as three Persons - one in essence yet three in Persons.

Some say science disproves God. I beg to disagree. Science itself shows life is more complex it wasn't just by random accidents. Biology the study of life shows how wonderfully complex life science is. Cells are more complicated than the latest microprocessor chips. Cytology itself is a very difficult subject to grasp and master. Chemistry the study of substances links itself to biology and physics. Ever heard of biochemistry and physical chemistry? You really need to study those if you expect to truly master chemistry. Then physics talks about the power of forces. Isaac Newton had to write another textbook to further make it easier for today's people to study it. Then there's the law of conservation of mass and energy. If matter and energy are neither created nor destroyed then here's what - why are you still denying God exists? God can self-exist because matter and energy are neither created nor destroyed. Yet, people still want to dismiss God while claiming to be scientific which is proof of a reprobate mind. It baffles me and you can't call the mystery of iniquity as such for nothing. After all, if something is mysterious then it has to be puzzling or you can't easily understand it, right? I can understand it's because of a mind against God yet I can't understand why they reject God in spite of the evidence.

History also has proven the Bible to be right and every other religious textbook wrong. I remembered how many Buddhist and Hindu scriptures just don't agree with each other. There's also many schools of Hinduism and Buddhism where they usually don't agree with each other. Until now, nobody can fully explain the mess that many religions in the world are in today. There's even Sunni and Shiite Islam. Skeptics try to challenge the Bible a lot by appealing to history. Yet, history has proven a lot of stuff. I remembered reading the late D. James Kennedy's book "Why I Believe" and it's no surprise with all historical details. History has proven the Bible's claims to be right. Yet, so many people still want to dismiss it at the hardening of heart. Once again, it's the mystery of iniquity at work. Just think the Pharaoh of the Exodus saw all of Moses' warnings happen yet he continued to harden his heart. Many today get historical proof the Bible is real but they don't want it.

It's also sickening to think of how idolatrous feasts in honor of "another Jesus" happens. Roman Catholics aren't really aware of it but they're actually making many fake saviors or messiahs. There was the Black Nazarene feast. There's still the feast of the Child Jesus. It really makes me sick how these events don't only cause unnecessary traffic (because these gods cannot walk) but how these idols really blind people. Idolaters tend to rationalize their worship of the images by saying, "We don't worship the image but the one portrayed by the image." Well, I've heard that excuse already from several religions. Taoism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, etc. have also made that excuse. I even heard a Buddhist and Hindu say that when they gave Krishna's image a bath - they were simply honoring Krishna and not the image of Krishna. But what they are doing without knowing it is that they are actually challenging the unchallenged, unchanging, and most importantly unending Lordship of Jesus Christ!

Also, Jesus is the Lord of every Christian. There's the doctrine called Lordship salvation. It's often mistaken as a synonym for works salvation. I used to think I was against it until I searched Theopedia and Grace to You to find out that it draws a distinction between true and false converts. Lordship salvation doesn't teach sinless perfection or loss of salvation. Rather, it puts a distinction between a Christian who is immature vs. a fake convert. I don't claim my flesh is 100% nailed to the cross. Rather, I want to raise the fact that if Christ is your Savior then He is also your Lord. The Lordship of Christ can't be questioned by the lost then how much more the Christian? The Christian's relationship with Jesus is that of a personal Lord and Savior - not just a personal Savior. Yes, He is my personal Savior but He is also my personal Lord. Christianity means serving Christ because one is saved and because He is Lord. He is Lord to the unbeliever only in the sense that He has the right to judge them. However, He as the Lord of the Christian is a loving, personal relationship where Christians are saved to serve and not to sin. The difference happens in the life of a person who submits to Jesus as one's personal Lord vs. a person who still rebels against Jesus' Lordship.

Whether you like it or not but Jesus is Lord now and forever. How was the birth of Christ declared? Luke 2:10-11 calls Him Christ the Lord. Jesus is addressed as Lord or Kurious. The thief on the cross called upon Him as "Lord" in Luke 23:42. The Lordship of Christ shouldn't be questioned or challenged but why do people question it? Some even try to defy His resurrection with speculations that don't make sense. Others try to explain it by saying He was an incarnation of a pagan god which also doesn't make sense. In fact, one day, whether you like it or not, Philippians 2:10-11 says that every person will be forced to admit that Jesus is Lord. I could imagine just how the damned will be forced to admit that Jesus is Lord but they will still remain unrepentant. You can have a sore loser admit that the winner won but he or she still hasn't accepted it. They are forced to merely confirm it when the final day of Judgment has arrived. By then, it's too late for them because they're already beyond repentance.
