Buddhist Temples Participating in the Idolatry Called Sinulog Isn't All Too Surprising in These Last Days

Sinulog deserves to have the word "sin" in it because it's sinful. The truth of Sinulog is that the Sto. Nino will always be an image of non-growing faith. Now, should it be surprising that in these last days to see Buddhist temples participating in Sinulog? It shouldn't be too surprising considering that the relations of the Vatican with Buddhism has been going strong for years. Check out for pictures of the late John Paul II meeting the Pope of Tibetan Buddhism who is called the Dalai Lama. You can also see resigned Benedict XVI meeting the Dalai Lama. Pope Francis has even met various Buddhist teachers. How could these men even claim to be the successors of blessed St. Peter?

A Buddhist nun from Taiwan named Yung Ling has also stressed that she would bow down and adore the image of the Sto. Nino every time she visited the Basilica in Cebu City. It's even emphasized by her that bowing down to the images of other religions is a symbol of gratitude for their teaching. Worse, you get Buddhists and Roman Catholics (together with other religions) that tell you that, "We don't pray to the image but the one portrayed by the image." Images of the Sto. Nino are even given to the Fo Guang Shan organization. It shouldn't be too surprised if you find Buddhists accepting the Sto. Nino because of the common ground of idolatry. She even claimed that there was a miracle after they had accepted the Sto. Nino. These are the signs and lying wonders that God is allowing for a reason to happen. She even mentions that her status as a Buddhist is no hindrance for her to regard the Sto. Nino.

Besides, there are even more antichrists (those in the place of Christ) appearing and it should be no surprise that some Buddhists even regard Jesus as one of their good teachers yet they don't even know His true teachings at heart. Others regard Jesus to be a Bodhisattva or a Buddhist saint but never as the eternal Son of God. Some even think that Jesus is actually an incarnation of Maitreya Boddhisatva (and Hindus believe Jesus to be an incarnation of Vishnu who was said to have also become Amitabha Buddha) who will eventually become the "final Buddha" to teach the final Dharma at the end of the world. The very idea of teaching that Jesus once became a Buddhist monk is not even supported by any historical document - yet some Buddhists believe it that Jesus is the final Buddha! Clearly, that Jesus Christ they are talking about is not the Jesus of the Bible. No wonder Jesus warned in Matthew 24:5 that many will come in His name and claim to be Christ.

This is making the Antichrist even easier to accept. People are already getting conditioned one way or another of a messianic figure - all but the Jesus of the Bible. Buddhists are still looking forward to the appearance of the final Buddha who will be the Maitreya. Maitreya means "Compassionate One" though it also means son of the god Mithra. If they can believe in a false Jesus who would be the final Buddha then the Antichrist can easily fit that role. But the disappointment is that this final dharma which may be the "universal brotherhood of man" will lead them to the Lake of Fire.

Even so, come Lord Jesus!
